I have a 2022 JLUR XR with 3.6 engine and with Falcon steering stabilizer. Definitely feel that steering always need some minor adjustment on road. I’m running 36 psi so not too high.

I have a '22 Rubicon XR, first thing I did was drop those 35's down to 28-30lbs to optimize the tire wear & drivability. Next, add the Mopar extended lower control arms (under $100) to improve your caster. Once done, it will be a huge improvement.

At the advice of Roky and several others, I lowered the tire pressure in my XR for these same reasons. I also added the longer LCAs. It did help some but still requires a lot of minor adjustments. I am having them check the steering on 7 Dec when I take it in. Also gonna have them check the brakes. There are times I dont think its going to stop and if I pump them once or twice, it stops awesome. Still love my Jeep though :D

I recently bought a 2023 JLU Willys without the XR package(I wanted stick). Recently I have seen more XRs and I am starting to regret my decision not to get an XR edition. So, this weekend I test drove one and really liked it. However, at highway speeds 55+mph I noticed that it had a lot of steering wander and required frequent steering input compared to my 2023. I’m guessing it was due to the tire width, but wasn’t sure if it was an anomaly with that particular JLU.

So, for XR owners out there, how is your highway steering?
2023 JLU Rubicon XR. Picked it up at Gupton, drove it back to Phoenix with absolutely no issues. It’s tight, it goes down the road at 80mph. Could not be happier how it drives on the highway. Not sure what you are experiencing. I’m running 35 psi all around.

I picked mine up at Tempe Dodge. Special order. Love it immensely. Drives way faster than I should. Looked down at the speedo today and was pushing 90. Didn't feel like it. Tires need to be aired down. I think two on the left are at 39,40 and the two on the right are at 38. Really happy with this rig. I can see the death wobble happening due to the larger tires and unsprung mass. My 4xe started the death wobble at 7200 miles right as I traded it in for this one. It is what it is. The only way I will get rid of my XR is when the Hurricane powered Rubicon is introduced and again with the XR package! So after all this, the steering on mine felt tight and secure. (For now ;) )

Thanks for all of the responses. After reading through these, I bet the tires had too much air in them on the XR I drove.

My 392 XR steering is super solid, virtually the opposite of what you are describing. Drives straight as could be, not loose at all. I’m not sure if the fact it is a 392 matters, but it is shockingly good.
same here even with over inflated tires.
