Jeeps lots of jeeps
Ive seen people put 2.5" lift on the xr and get more flex but less lift. Jazzicon had 11 3/8" from axle tube to top of coil spring bucket then added 2.5" lift and that took the measurement to 12.5". On my wife's stock xr that same measurement is 13". I would measure your jeep and go from there.
The XR height from the factory is all over the place. My 2023 arrived from the factory easily 2 inches taller than the 2021 XR I traded in for it. Also, the 2021 had more rake. The 2023 is almost level.

I've seen stock XRs where the stock tires looked stuffed, then stock XRs where the stock tires look too small.

So odd!

Can't tell you..shhh
I'm a fan of the Rancho RS9000XL shocks. You can adjust them to whatever ride you want and the warranty is lifetime.
Part numbers are RS999065 for the front and RS999066 for the rear.
I was going to swap them on my XR but, sadly, I had to cancel my order. The part numbers came from the Rancho account here on the forum.

In what ways?
I was totally wrong. Was thinking the previous Recon pkg that must have been 2020 MY that is very different and had no susp diffs.

Now, i do see there is a difference in the 2021 + XR spring PNs in front from 188/189 vs 189/190 due to Top, Bumper group, motor and such. Maybe that is large enough to throw off total lift numbers?

Yes, this has been discussed at length in the XR thread here on this forum.

Unfortunately, it appears the factory just throws on whatever springs they have laying around, without rhyme or reason, to get it out the door. Mine came with the wrong front springs from the factory, which results in about a half inch clearance from the bump stops.

Had to order the correct springs myself.

Mine also has the 188/189 combo. I added 1.74 spacers and shock extensions. Haven’t had a chance to drive it much yet though

Hey im in N TX as well. Buying a new set of XR springs 188/189 with the xr shocks.
I currently have stock rubi springs and fox 2.0 shocks. Debating on which shock to run.
How does your drive?

I only added the spacers a couple of days ago and have barely driven it since but from what I can tell it still drives like stock because it is other than the spacer. I added the spacers because when I put on a steel bumper and winch it was almost on the bumps. Stock it drove pretty nice though once I added the LCAs from the Mopar lift.

I added the Mopar LCA to my stock rubi which really helped make it drive better.
If you are in the Dallas area, we should hit up some trails!

I upgraded the OEM shocks on my XR to the Fox IFP 2.0 using the 0-1.5" lift version- no other mods beyond a 1/2" Teraflex spacer up front to correct a slight sag after installing a Warn winch and MORE engine skid.

The 0-1.5" versions are just slightly longer (1/4"- 1/2") than the OEM XR shocks. Huge improvement in both on- and off road ride.
I'm thinking about upgrading the OEM XR shocks to Fox too, came across the Fox 2.5 performance IFP by JKS. They are designed for 2"-3.5" lift, JKS commented it should fix stock XR no problem. I was a bit concerned if the spring will become loose at full droop since the new shocks have longer extended length. Do you think I'm overthinking?

What about Falcon 2.1's??
Thanks for offering another option! I did look the SP2 2.1 up a while ago but not extensively. Heard the ride will be stiffer. So I’ll have to do more research. The 2.25” tube doesn’t seem to be a good middle ground.
