2023 Rubicon 392 non XR shocks

Good evening everyone! I picked up my 392 non-XR yesterday and noticed that the shocks are not Fox. I was told by the dealer that Jeep had to change them due to a backlog of Fox shocks and went with these “performance shocks” by Mopar. Are these the XR shocks? I have tried to look up the part number with no success. Anyone who can help is appreciated. This is the passenger rear shock on the Jeep. Thank you! -Jim

Then they are prolly not XR shocks. Seems fishy, never trust a dealer. Most changes at the factory are on the build sheet. Like when only 1 key was given at purchase. There was a credit on the build sheet/sticker.

those are just fox labeled mopar shocks..even worse than regular red shocks...they leak and lost rebound in just couple thousand miles.

There are enough people running the Mopar lift that if that was an actual issue, we would know about it. I've had it in for 15k kms and have had zero issues on road and wheeling. They're are certainly better than the red shocks for sure.

Sigh.....I'm dumb. It's was 0530.

I was thinking the shocks that come with the Mopar lift kits not stock 392 ones. Why would quality control be different? Not really seeing a epidemic of bad 392 shocks either though, notwithstanding this video.

In saying that, I bet there is a video like that for almost every shock out there. Shocks wear out. Unfortunately it looks like these ones wore out quicker than most. Lol

These are the shocks that come on the 392 with XR package. The standard 392 gets those Fox shocks shown above. Not sure why they change shocks for the 392 XR, but heard that those are "more heavy duty" to handle the larger tires. Sounds like BS but maybe so since I haven't seen anyone mention those leaking like the Fox ones that come on a standard 392.
