Do you wheel it?. Have you had any problems with front drive shaft
Yes I do wheel it and no issues so far with the front driveshaft. 2.5” is about the highest you can lift without having issues with the driveshaft. But if you like to disconnect and really stretch it out I’m sure that will take a toll on it.

Rubicons come with an electrical front swaybar disconnect that allows you to disconnect the front swaybar to get better articulation. On Sport and Sahara models people add manual sway bar link quick disconnects to do the same. This is a feature that is regarded highly in the rocks and very heavily rutted terrain. If you google it you will get a better idea of how it works then me trying to explain it here.

I meant you lost me at disconnect.(i didn'tknow what you were talkingabout) . I always disconnect my swaybar .. so what your saying is I might need drive shaft since I wheel it on the rocks.... thanks for taking the time to reply, that's why I love this forum

The extended shock length will determine if you need a front driveshaft. If they are 28" or less, your stock shaft is fine. Longer than that and the joint just doesn't have enough angle.

Question for y’all, i bought rubi xr springs from a steel bumper xr. How much rake can I expect when I install a winch? I’m debating installing it with a 3/4” spacer or a 1/2” spacer.

I did the exact same thing. I went 1/2" and it wasn't enough, by at least a 1/2". Going to try a 1" or taller front springs when I get a chance.

Depends on how much the winch weighs. You can simulate it by finding something of a similar weight, like a 5 gallon bucket full of sand or rocks and setting it on the bumper.

Went with a 3/4” spacer and still have some rake.

I’m ok with a 1/2” of rake, so you’re saying you had 1/2” of rake
or more?

Oddly enough I had my gf stand on my bumper and I didn’t notice it sag at all trying to simulate a winch, granted she’s around 100lbs. Still running standard rubi springs.

Went with a 3/4” spacer and still have some rake.

Hmm, that looks good, about how much rake would you say you have? Ideally i’d still have a little bit of rake for when I load the jeep so i don’t blind everyone more than i already do at night.

Just measured the fender lips. Still have 1” of rake with the 3/4” front spacers.

Installing 392 XR takeoff shocks today after feeling how much better my 392 XR handles over the 2.0T XR. Will see if anything changes.

Yeah I still have a little over 1/2" rake. Even with a 1/2" spacer from Teraflex already in there.
Thanks, think i’m gonna get a 1/2” spacer then. Just wanting to get it mostly right on the first install so I don’t have to yank it out again.

From what I remember isn’t the front fender around 1-2in higher than the rear?

I drove my uncles 392 and it’s really impressive what those shocks can do compared to the stock rubi shocks I have.

On my Rubi XR, with steel bumpers and tow package, the front end dropped 3/8" after installing my Winch.

It is going to depend on which springs you've got, and the weight of the winch and winch plate.

I’ve got 189, 190 spring part numbers for the front and 223 spring part numbers for the rear. Got the numbers from Jeepetos build thread, steel bumper xr. So I think i’ll be good with 1/2” spacer.
