Hello everyone,
Since today Amazon is having a sale on some products I have been thinking of getting another wireless Apple CarPlay Adapter for my Jeep. I got one in the past but it was buggy especially with my audio system making a static noise when playing music with Spotify (I have the premium 8.4 Uconnect4Nav with the Apline audio system). Does anyone have any recommendations for any good Wireless CarPlay adapters? I don’t really care for the ones that allow streaming (YouTube, Netflix, etc).

We have carlinkit 4.0s in the Jeep and the Ram. Both work decent, but It’s more buggy in the Jeep. Looks like the 5.0 is out and may be worth a try.

I went with the SuperiorTec brand. It was hyped by a certain young Jeeper who has a well-known YouTube channel, so I went with it not expecting much. Actually, it's been very good. It connects fast, the lag when switching songs is not very noticeable, and it has not crashed in the five months I have been using it.

I had a very low bar for wireless adaptors, but this one has been much better than expected. Now, here's the kicker. I put my phone into Airplane Mode, and it threw the whole thing off. It took me a few days to figure out all I needed to do was a hard restart on my phone. In the meantime, I bought a Carlinkit 5 as a replacement. It was horrible! It crashed the first time I used it, froze the Jeep's screen for a while, would randomly disconnect, and all this in a short 18-mile trip to work. Needless to say, that went back to Amazon ASAP. What I found odd was that the directions for both units were nearly exactly the same, so I wonder if they are produced by the same factory for different buyers. Who knows?

So, to end this story on a sad note, I just checked, and the SuperiorTec unit is not available on Amazon anymore. :( If you can find it elsewhere, I would snatch it. It's been a great addition to my Jeep.

I’ve been using a Carlinkit 3.0 in my 2021 2 door Willys with no problems (other than Uconnect issues). The same adapter worked perfectly in a Ford SportTrac with a Pioneer head unit, a 2018 Honda Accord Sport and a 2017 Ford Escape.

I have been using carlinkit 5.0, it runs fine when playing music, no noise issues. As for the streaming you mentioned, it tends to be a feature that comes with the CarPlay AI Box, carlinkit 5.0 is not that type of product, it's techy and tight.
