1) Proximity sensor is started to work only 50% of the time. It is hard to recreate the problem. Anyone else?

2) When I remote start my JLUR, shouldn't the heated seats and steering wheel come on? They are not, even if when I shut my Jeep off they were left on. It also doesn't seem to be smart enough to read the temperature. Very annoying as my 2012 JGC has this feature and it works great.

My proximity locks work great in winter. The only time I noticed them a little flaky is when I wash the Jl. Water can trigger the locking or un-locking when water flows over the sensor. I noticed this happing on my other cars with proximity locks also so it's not a Jeep Thing. Check you FOB battery also.

You can program the heated seats and steering wheel to turn on with remote starts or when temps drop below something like 40 degrees.

There are reports that JL’s temperature reader will stay at whatever temperature it was when you shut off the vehicle.

For instance, if you park the vehicle at 45ÂşF and go to bed and the temps drop to 20ÂşF overnight, the next morning when you remote start the Jeep it will think it is still 45ÂşF and will fail to activate the seat and steering wheel heaters, which are set to kick in automatically at 40ÂşF.

Even if the outside temperature reader eventually adjusts down to 20ºF, because the engine is already running the seat and steering wheel heaters won’t activate on their own at that point. You would need to remote stop and restart the engine; then the seat and steering wheel heaters should activate.

Yes, I know, it is dumb.

Thanks! Sounds like I have to play around with it!
