I know it's an old thread, but a search turned up many even older.

So, I got a bad crack in the windshield of my '21, but it was on the passenger side, so it didn't really bother me. But it began to really irritate the wife, so I went to the dealer and they quoted $800 for the glass and $375 for the installation.

After I got home and changed my shorts, I contacted Safelite. The tech came by the next morning and the new glass was installed in 30 minutes for $250.

I'm a happy camper. :)
I had a similar experience with a local vendor using Northstar glass. Just need to purchase a little Jeep decal for the bottom right inside corner if you want to have the OEM look🙂🙂

PA is very prescriptive about chips and cracks in the windscreen; this manifests as easy fails during the annual State inspection. With that in mind, we've a zero deductible for glass repairs on our auto policy's Comprehensive line item. That coverage has paid for several repairs and full glass replacements through the years.
Yup same here. The glass policy doesn't even cost that much. At least for State Farm, they'll replace the windshield for any damage larger than a quarter. Perhaps that's due to state regs, I dunno.

I have a 2024 Rubicon with Gorilla Glass. I also had a cracked windshield but I called the dealership and they said Jeep covers one or two windshield cracks. The dealership took some pictures, submitted a claim, and ordered the windshield. It should be here in a week or two. I couldn't get a clear explanation of windshield coverage. I'll ask again when they replace it.

I also called my insurance company. The cost of changing my $1000 deductible to $0 was less than $5 a month. This is what I'm planning to do next time.
