This is product from “ASWF” (American Standard Window Film). Cool to support an American company. They’ve got the “normal” (cheaper) stuff as well as infrared ceramic (or “IRP” as the newer ceramic stuff is called).
They also have windshield protection! Amazing! This will prevent rock chips and cracks (as Wrangler owners, we all know how our windshields crack like crazy!). I’m so excited about the protection from them. I wish Jeep would partner with them and just do it from the factory - either way, I’m covered now! I replaced a windshield on my JL and it was pricey if you want OEM glass (with all the cool Jeep logos we get). Even pricier now with the acoustic glass!
I don’t like tint to be too dark - so I asked them to keep it moderate. In my opinion, they nailed it. The Jeep is much cooler inside now and sunglasses are now optional for me, even on a super sunny day like today. Great feeling knowing the windshield has a layer of protection on it, too!
This is 70% on the windshield, 70% on all rear windows and tailgate window, and 25% on the front windows - then of course their windshield protection, as well.
With their IRP ceramic film, the heat rejection is far greater than the “tint” percentage - it was something like 90% heat rejection all the way around.
I also just went through the carwash and had no issues with the windshield protector - it did great, just as they advertised.
The optical clarity on the tint and windshield protector is nothing short of outstanding. I’m thrilled with it - we turned around and had them do my wife’s Cherokee after my JLUR (skipped the windshield protection on hers though, it’s just imperative on a Wrangler but I saw it as optional on a non-Wrangler).
I’d recommend calling around to find a local tint shop that carries ASWF films, and getting one of their IRP films and also the windshield protector. I’m loving it!
Thanks, this is the SCS K5 wheels and Nitto Ridge Grappler 37x13.50r17.What is your wheel tire set up? It looks great. May have inspired me to choose Granite....
Awesome. What lift are you running? Thanks, this is the SCS K5 wheels and Nitto Ridge Grappler 37x13.50r17.
The tint really made a difference in the overall appearance (not to mention safety and heat rejection).
Nice mojito, what is your tint% on the front?Had FormulaOne Pinnacle ceramic tint installed today.
15% on the front side windows. I asked the shop to match the rear to equal the 15%, so I think that they used a 50% film for that.Nice mojito, what is your tint% on the front?
