I've been installing them for years on my own vehicles. Both as a see-through tint, and also as flat black vinyl on some vehicles.
About to do it on my new JL also, will post pics later today.

Used to be one could buy transparent vinyl sunshields that stuck to the windshield top via static electricity. Less permanent and easier to install than current window tinting. Anyone seen these recently?

I look forward to the results from UtahRyder.

All done.
My windshield is currently cracked so I went with the flat black vinyl for now. (I've got rolls of it as opposed to tint)
4" down from the top of the glass felt about right.

When I had all my other windows tinted the guy suggested a 5 inch strip on the front windshield, funny is every other vehicle I’ve owned has some sort of strip built in except for this one and I never noticed. So I did it, and I can’t imagine driving without it now especially as the sun is going down.

I get mine done to minimize the bright sun that triggers migraines and headaches.

Hey Brandy, I like the “tuxedo” sunshade on the other Jeep!
Lol I saw that pic in the bird deterrent thread.

Yep Sylvester has many jobs! He's actually a stray that showed up a couple of winters ago when it was -25 out. It took a year of feeding him before he'd even let me pet him. He's actually turned out to be a really good cat. He's excellent at keeping the birds off my Jeeps:like: and he's a cute little outside companion:involve:

Are you putting the Brow tint on the inside or the outside of the windshield?

I got mine tinted a few weeks ago and didn't get the "visor tint". I've never been a fan of the look of visor tint and on the Jeep (with the flat windshield), it seemed even more pointless.

Fixing stupid....
I have always done this on all of my vehicles and loved it.

had it done on my ‘19, and really never liked it as it put a line right in the middle of my vision. (Bottom of strip was even with the bottom of the black plastic square for the advanced safety stuff)

on my ‘21 i had it done, but it does not come down quite as far. It ends about an inch above the bottom of that black plastic box.

i love it on my ‘21 as it is the perfect height for me.

I love it but theres a limit to how dark it should be. I cant see the stoplights during the day time when looking thru the brow because i have 50% windshield with 5% brow, and another 2% brow ontop of it which makes it roughly a 0.04% tint brow😂

never again.

I run 32% full windshield with 5% strip up top and I only did that because my friend said he was out of 50% and I told him just do the next up (thinking that would be 60%+ and he went the other way lol.) Now, I couldn't live without it being in Florida. I'll snag some picture tomorrow when it's light out.
