...And is there a cure?
I just purchased a brand new 2024 Sahara with LED lighting . For all the improvements over my 2020 , Im amazed that I still can't see anything out the back when I put her in reverse. Is there an easy bulb replacement upgrade? Or.....?

Appreciate any input. Happy Labor Day!

These exist https://www.oraclelights.com/collec...er-jl/products/rear-bumper-led-reverse-lights, as well as entire replacements for the factory housing/lights. I have the linked item ordered, but they aren't here yet and I haven't put them on, so I can give a true review, though I have heard good enough things.

I would also like something higher up and angled down a bit - maybe mounted on the spare tire / tire carrier, or even up at the back/top of the hardtop, mostly for when I have my bike rack or a trailer blocking the oracles. I've also thought about just adding reverse lights to my bike rack and powering via the trailer harness, but having actual lights on the vehicle higher up would be more universally useful.

fyi in case you decide on the oracles https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/fo...acle-lighting-with-our-labor-day-sale.135421/

Thanks! This looks to be pretty much plug a play. Amazing Jeep didn't address this. You basically need the park assist feature (which should just come with the damn camera anyway if you ask me ) to back up these things stock.

I have the Oracle bumped reverse lights-literally like night and day. Don't stare into them from behind the Jeep.

The OEM lights are just for show!! I put a set of Rigid lights in the bumper of my wife's JLUR after I lifted it. I put them low and wide to gain the most benefit.

🤔
The Wrangler is a veritable greenhouse, in terms of outward visibility. The presence of a backup camera is redundant, Federal regs notwithstanding. What difficulties are you experiencing when in Reverse?

I don’t even use the camera to backup . And The reverse lights don’t emit any usable
Light when backing up. Oracles arrived yesterday. We shall see how they work in the next day or so.

I don't really use my backup camera that much, either. I was trained to use my mirrors, and old habits die hard.

I've Oracles on my Jeep, and the lighting they provide at night can indeed be very helpful.

I’d use the damn camera if mine had come with some kind of alert system. Otherwise the camera makes you ignore your flanks which are where almost every disaster starts. Makes no sense to me to have that camera if it isn’t warning you of anything while focusing on only one direction.
