Can you explain to me which thread is getting off topic? Do you even know what the topic is? Do you even know what the word “topic” means?
Ooooh. Hurtful words.
The topic is the idea, or subject, that is being conveyed by the thread, which is made up of individual posts. As for a couple of examples... The thread about the Easter concepts, hijacked by posts complaining about FCA not making 2dr Wranglers yet. That doesn't come close to pertaining to the topic about concept vehicles.
Or the thread related to the Sting-Gray club being hijacked by posts complaining about soft top production issues. That has nothing to do with the subject of the club.
Or this thread, making fun of the people who whine all the time being hijacked by a post about a member, Jeep Dealer Guy, relaying complaints to FCA for the forum.
There are many others. It seems like I can't enjoy the forum without someone bitching about the off road pages, or the 2 door production (which I have ordered), or the soft top delay (which I also have on my order), or the matching hard top delay, etc.
Now you have me whining. Thanks.
Maybe make a thread just to bitch, and all the other bitchers can post there and keep the other topics about their intended subject.

I’m not sure what you want this forum to do for you and your dealer?
I’m not saying I want this forum to do anything for my dealer or salesperson. I’m simply saying this forum is largely unknown to my salesperson and his field rep. If this is the case and what I originally asked, how much of these complaints contained on this forum are getting back to FCA?

Oh. So you are serious.

How much ofthe entitled childish tantrums from these forums is getting back to FCA? Hopefully none.

What do you want them to do? Buy you an ice cream cone?

I didn’t start this thread but am responding to it because it concerns me along with a significant amount of other people.

This thread is about whining so let the whining, bitching and overall rants continue. Were you specifically asked to post? No, you did so on your own accord. So why are you complaining about other people responding to what this entire thread is specifically all about?

I don’t have to create a thread just for bitching; you’re on it right now.

In my experience, most dealers are clueless about the forums and initially, the JL builds themselves. Not our @JLWF Dealer Guy, he’s the shit! Whether this forum is known to your dealer or the FCA rep really doesn’t factor into what you’re wanting. They have Jeep Cares on here and that has been helpful. The situation we are all in in not unknown to anyone at FCA. It seems to be a supply and demand issue. As Nate said, social media is helpful. But no amount of complaining is going to change the situation the fact that this a supply and demand issue.

The purpose of this thread was to address the bitching by calling it out to make people aware there are those of us tired of it.... so the logic of coming in to continue what the OP is “whining about whining”..... well, just doesn’t make any sense. Proper Fourum etiquette is to find a thread on the related subject/topic and participate.... not to be a cancer and invade an unrelated thread and derail it by changing the topic... or context of the topic. In short this thread wasn’t about lack of dealer/rep knowledge and communication. Your perpetuating of is considered trolling. Which we’re all guilty of at times.

I never said having my salesperson or his associated rep know about this forum would make any difference. I asked if anybody knows if FCA knows about this forum.

I’m also not complaining concerning any supply or demand issue. What I did say is I’m upset about the lack of communication from FCA. Please re-read my posts specifically #47 which you actually “Liked”.

What do you mean by "FCA"? There isn't just some guy out there who represents the whole corporation to the forums, if that's what you want. The system as a whole is aware of the forums, I'm sure, but who would you like to communicate with? All you'll get is ill informed answers from "customer service" representatives. The real guys you want to talk to are probably the dealers, since an Ohio factory worker likely doesn't give two shits about your delays. Not that they could tell you anything about it anyway.

And those are realistic expectations as far as I can see.

So if this forum is “very much unknown” how would that make it a good choice to serve as a liaison to FCA for problems? The logic you apply is questionable. And yes JeepCares is here, so it must be known by someone, but JeepsCares is not the proper channel as well.

Not belittling your salesperson, but he really doesn’t sound very informed. Field reps are very much aware of delays and issues. It’s the dealerships responsibility to communicate that. Specifically the service department or it was when long ago when I worked in service. A correct response would have been to get on an “official” media of Jeep or FCA and make a respectful argument as a consumer, not use a private “unknown” forum as proxy.
why r u guys dogging our awesome forum. we dont like that
