I've been using both. Trails off-road comes built into the Jeep adventure guides and seems to have the more "sanctioned" trails listed. Whereas I've noticed alot of backwoods/old highways type trails on OnXoffroad. I like them both.
How do you get the jeep adventure guides?

I use TOR mostly as it is very easy to navigate the app and the guides are good. The Follow feature is pretty neat too. I also use Gaia and upload GPX files to it for trails that are not available on TOR. I will google GPX trail files for an area I want to explore and if I fine something interesting I will download it and save it to Gaia using my phone. Both apps are Carplay compatible and I will often run TOR on my phone and Gaia on the uConnect.

I also noticed that, where Trails Offroad and OnXoffroad don't seem to have the same trails. For example the SCAR (South Carolina Adventure Route) doesn't show on Trails Offroad but it is on OnXoffroad and is a pretty cool trail from the parts I drove at least. I'm going to be looking for other trails in my neck of the woods.
Yea we did a section of the SCAR and it was a good time. Finding things out this way is hard but that gravel maps site is a pretty big help when it works and as always google maps satellite images to confirm whats still there or not.

We did a 2 day dirt jaunt around Boone/Asheville and had to take a few detours due to closed routes that said they were open on OnX and Google tho so anything can happen.

Aren't those rated 2/10? That could explain why they're not in TOR. It's common to see Civics and minivans on the 2s near us.
My bad. The sections I looked at were all 2/10. I'm not sure, however, that I've seen a 3/10 in TOR.

Definitely stick with OnX for sections of the country that don't have many trails. That's where TOR's significantly higher standards hinder its usefulness.
Yea the SCAR is part of the Trans American Trail so there are sections that are actually technical while not difficult as well as just regular 2 lane black top. A lot of the sections along the SCAR especially central an east SC are dirt/sand and can get super slick and muddy and just car traps when it rains.

For now I'm rocking both just looking everywhere for places. I'm hoping to find a few near me within reasonable driving distance. The closest one on TOR is 45 miles away. But I'm told from a friend that requires a day pass and isn't open til the spring.
Thats Uwharrie and WELL worth the day trip up there when its open. While the trails arent the most difficult when you compare them to Moab and others out west, its super nice to have some place to be able to do some crawling and off roading that is actually work.

If you really have an itch to go somewhere check out Gulches in SC, its 90% a mud pit especially after heavy rains but it gets you out there getting dirty.

Keep an eye on the North Carolina thread cause we get together a few times a year to do Uwharrie. Ill for sure be there when they open this year buying my yearly pass.

If you click Vehicle and then Dashboard, do you see Adventure Guides?

I sent @JeepCares a message hoping they can help. I bought my 392 out of state and local dealer won’t help. Before I try other dealers hopefully Jeep can help.

Adventure Guides are nowhere to be found on the Vehicle Dashboard screen on my new 2024 392.

JeepCares has messaged me a few times...I've done multiple factory resets and still not Adventure Guides and Trail Recording app on the screen. Jeep Cares says my case has been escalated. Hopefully soon...in days...weeks??? Someone from Jeep will fix this issue.

I want to purchase the app on my iPhone and use the full Adventure Trails on my Jeep UConnect but I am not buying the iPhone app yet until this gets sorted out.
