Where do you Beach Drive??

We live in NJ and like going to Island Beach State Park. Only allowed to drive on the beach if you are fishing. Rod holders credit: We have a couple on my front bumper but recently got some exposed Racks crossbars and I am liking their rod holder accessory. Also works great with the awning!

We beach drive on Hatteras Island NC between Buxton and the Hatteras Inlet. Just got the Jeep so haven’t had it down there yet. We’ve done several trips with my 2011 Chevy Silverado.

I do the majority of my beach driving in Rhode Island although the beaches are not available for driving from Memorial Day to the Sunday after Labor Day. They are quite congested so that is the reason for the restriction. There is an exception to this, one of the beaches has a sand trail that you can use to drive to a few parking spots for fishing. I try to get to the National Seashore on Cape Cod as often as possible but there are some restrictions there also due to the Piping Plover, a tiny seabird that is on the endangered species list.

Man, that claim seems incredibly questionable when compared to some of the other beaches around the planet.

I will, however, add it to my list of things to do!

I agree but I think there are some caveats that make it so. I read about it long ago but can’t remember the details.

I've watched quite a few beach-related videos done in Australia. Some of those beaches are well over 100 miles long. They must have some severe caveats in that claim!

Caveats like, ‘legal’, ‘continuous’, ‘public’… just guessing at this point. Regardless, it isn’t a contest for me… but a cool place close by that can be easily explored. Plan a campfire in the evening.
