Where do people store their hard top?

I keep it on the top lift pro in the garage. Then park under it.

I bought the 880lb capacity electric hoist from Harbor Freight and stuck it in the rafters of the garage. Simple on person operation and it works for both the JLR and JLU tops. Once they're off the The JLU hangs from the ceiling and the JLR can sit on the floor since there is plenty of room. The doors and freedom tops get stored on carts made from PVC pipes and a furniture dolly.

I think you sold me on this route. As I wait for my jeep, I'm trying to prepare for how I'm going to store the dual tops. I had planned to do the hoist through the rafters.. but this seems just as secure and a little less prep. Thanks for the pic.

Only advice is to take your time lifting it. Each cam strap makes it easy but my dumbass lifted quick and scratched the door since I wasn’t 100% lined up.

New rules:
-doors open
-verify wiper motor disconnected
-lift slowly keeping top from swinging
-verify rear tire clearance when driving away.

I’m an idiot and rush sometimes. Take your time and you’ll be good.

I have two bicycle wall hooks on the wall that I store the soft top on

ALso if you are storing hard top longer term I would not do it with suspension as it may tweak the shape, which is why I bought the Costco shelves so the top basically take no room away from the garage and no ducking to get around it.

Mine hangs in the garage. You can purchase a hoist system or you can use eye bolts screwed into studs in the ceiling and 4 rachet straps.
