Where do people store their hard top?

So I was able to remove my hardtop, and now I’ve got to find a place to put it. I’m thinking I’ll just set it in the backyard on a pallet under a tarp? Has anyone had any issues leaving their top outside? Will mice screw it up?
Ps. getting to top off alone was easy, putting it back on by myself is much harder.

I bought a Lange Hoist-A-Cart Gen 2.

It makes one person removal and install easy and quick, and it stores my hard top and 2 doors on a cart that I can move around in my garage to suit my needs.

The Top Lift Pro is very similar and also excellent. It raises the top from underneath rather than from overhead. It is a bit more expensive, however.

Wow, check that thing out! That’s the way. I have the rear seat removed so I just got inside and stood up, balancing the roof from the center point. Then I had to get out of the Jeep and squat to the ground in order to escape the prison I made for myself. Thinking about crawling back under it to reverse the process sounds…rough. That hoist with casters looks amazing. Thanks for the link.

Mine hangs in the garage. You can purchase a hoist system or you can use eye bolts screwed into studs in the ceiling and 4 rachet straps.

I made a wood platform that raises to the roof with pullies and a hand crank.

Soft top stores on the platform during the winter. Hard top hangs from it in the summer.

The Top Lift Pro is expensive, but it's kinda like divorce, expensive...because it's worth it.

But unlike divorce, the Top Lift Pro is easy and fast, like my first GF in high-school. I don't think I've seen anything demonstrated in real-time that is faster for removing and replacing the hard top.

I bought a Top Lift Pro as well but used off of another member and saved some bucks. After doing my JK top for ten years by storing on the floor I will never go back. I got a postcard for a hard top storage place. They will remove and store your hardtop and install a soft top if you have one. They also will sell you a soft top if you need one. They will come to your house and do the swap. No mention of pricing. I was really surprised to see this.

I bought the metal racks at Costco for my garage and the top sits on the top shelf. It is an easy lift for two. I also have a soft top so the hard top spens about 6-7 months there...
