I don't know about anyone else, but I think the JL is the best looking iteration of the Jeep Wrangler and I hope they keep the future changes to the interior alone rather than the exterior. I think we are in that sweet spot for great aesthetic appearance with practical size even in the 2-door, but think that Jeep should offer an option for vinyl floors and seats. Maybe they should make all Wranglers come standard with LEDs all around while making BSM and ACC standard. I personally thought the JK was beyond ugly inside and out so I can't complain about the JL hardly at all besides some small things. Just my $.02 for what it's worth.
Agree 100%

The thing that people are forgetting is that the Jeep is no longer competing against itself. The Bronco has better tech, better steering, better seats, etc... Wrangler needs to keep upping their game to stay on top. It's time for a refresh. Heck... the Bronco is already getting a refresh in 2023 for the 2024 model year.

And Bronco availability is somewhere between a Delorean and the Tesla truck. Until Ford straightens out production they are not a genuine threat to anything imo. If producing vehicles is this difficult I can't even imagine what it's like when something breaks...

It’s no different today than it was a year ago competing against the 4Runner. The bronco isn’t even better than a 4Runner and that thing hasn’t been refreshed in ages. I don’t see a refresh happening anytime soon. I also don’t see it being needed. The only thing the bronco does more than a jeep is scream bronco from a thousand different bronco stickers and labels and decals. More like Brawndo lol

Finding tech in my 2023 that was in my 2019 GC is sometimes disheartening ?

But then, I didn't buy a Wrangler for tech ?

Hopefully some more up to date features will trickle into the Wrangler/Gladiator lineup in coming years. But then, there is that line between keeping the Wrangler up to date vs having it lose its soul as things go more and more analog to digital in vehicles ?

I think the new grill on that 20th anniversary concept will have a lot to do with a redesign to fit the hurricane I6 into the Wrangler

I’ve been seeing quite a few new Broncos lately, so Ford must be getting some out there.

Seems the JL is getting a bit long in the tooth, especially in the infotainment area... is there a facelift planned for '24?

Thanks
JC

I don't see any problem with the Wrangler staying archaic...it's clearly a formula that's working. The problem is that it needs to be priced appropriately. I, too, appreciate the ability to select what I want in my vehicle instead of having it forced on me as standard or through "option packages"...this has been a longstanding point of contention with me and GM in fact...in order to get the handful of options I DO want (like LED headlights, heated seats/wheel, and the good stereo), I need three additional option packages that give me 20 other things I have no interest in and raise the price by $10k. It's great that the Wrangler largely eschews that approach. However the Wrangler still manages to fail because it's priced at the same level as that $10k-more-expensive GM vehicle I gave as example, but WITHOUT all the options that drove up that price.

So yeah, just price it in line with the competition, and I have no complaints.

Although I don't entirely dislike this grill, I don't know that I'd want it on mine. I just am not sure about the "virtual" 7 slot grill yet. At least it isn't a constipated grill, though.
Looks like a Renegade grill.
