No matter which year you get it's going to rattle, creak and squeak.
I know when I read the original post I had to double check when it was because I felt like I just stepped through a Time Warp back to 2023.

I bought a '24 JLR-X with the XR package about two months ago and love it! Doing some mods (because I can't help myself) but this is one nice ride!
I just cannot imagine being without a Jeep!

Hi Jon, I just bought a 2024 and I'm really impressed with the changes. The display, lessening of road noise, features, and even the navigation. I am glad that I bought the 2024....
Even better with a Rubi X. Great ride, 35's, 4.56 gears, power / leather seats, etc

At first I was disappointed when I was told it was too late to order a 2023 and would have to get the 2024. I was afraid I wouldn't like the new screen and was also forced into buying the X to get leather and color coded fenders / top. After adding up all the options it was actually cheaper to get the X anyway, so I placed the order. So glad I went with the 24, screen is awesome and ride and build quality excellent. Also love the new grill. I still think they are way overpriced but had to have it.

I have the same! 2-door with XR package. Love it. Only “issue” is the power steering (or at least I think that’s what it is) is so squeaky and loud. Does yours do that too? It’s nearly constant and only really noticeable at very low speeds around parking lots and whatnot.

I mean if you dont have one yet might as well get new and have a warranty for a little while. You can still get cheap Jeeps if you special order exactly what you want rather than getting hte 50k+ Sport S on dealer lots, and dont let the "need" for a Rubicon make you buy more Jeep than you realistically will ever use. The Willys is a GREAT Jeep right now and would be the way I would go if I were buying one today.
I just picked up my 2024 Willys Unlimited last week. I LOVE it. Have had a number of new Jeeps since 2013, and been driving them since I was 8. I have a 1975 CJ-5 as well so I understand capability and features between then and now.

I believe this is my "final final" new Jeep because the prices and the interest rates suck. I will say I am impressed with the Willys package lift, gear ratio, and it comes with rear locker now.

I occasionally take it off road on trails but honestly a stock Sport S will get ya anywhere on most off-road trails, I was simply spoiling myself with the Willys order.

I did say yes to the hard top headliner, that helps a TON with road noise. I said no to blind spot detection and lane / breaking assist.

I attached the build sheet so you can see what the Willys package has. I won't sell a kidney, but I may start standing out under the one streetlight in my 'burg to generate some extra income as my payment is a grand a month. That is f'n crazy.

I own a new 2024 Rubicon X I do love it. and after renting a 2023 Gladiator on a fishing trip in Montana I can tell you that the 24 my is worth it. I will say I was extremely impressed with the base model gladiator on street tires in the backcountry of Montana. I guess I had become a Rubicon addict.

Yeah, I bought my wife a 2024 Sahara with the Sky One Touch (SOT). All of a sudden, my '23 Gladiator isn't good enough. I wanted the SOT and the my24 advancements, so I ordered a '24 392 FE. Can't get rid of my 2023 Rubicon though.

The new grill gives you better airflow to prevent overheating, it's a take it or leave it update that can be changed to the pre-face lift in the after market. The screen update inside is pretty sweet, but at times can feel like an after thought (when you use the backup camera, half the screen turns to the jeep logo instead of the camera being full screen) but overall the touch screen is more responsive than the previous gen. The air vents under the new screen initially looked weird to me, but after driving a rental 2024 you don't notice and they actual perform better than the pre-2024.

The antenna in the windshield is a huge unknown at this point, Jeep windshields are notorious for cracking... now they're throwing the antenna INSIDE the windshield?! I don't know how much that increases the cost of a replacement but it can't be cheap... I haven't heard of anyone having issues with it, but if history is anything to go by... the integrated antenna might be a passing fad if the windshields perform how they have historically. (the windshield cracking issue is also the main reason I didn't get adaptive cruise control, if the windshield needs to be replaced, they also need to re-calibrate the camera system... at cost to you of course)
I also wish the backup camera took up the whole screen. I hope someone is able to bypass it or jeep releases an update to take advantage of the full screen!

I mean the camera was designed for the old aspect ratio and if they were to change to "make it fit" there would be distortion they dont want so it likely will never happen.

I seem to remember Benny checked the cost difference for the new windshield and it was around $20 more at most. For me in Florida, and a lot of other states, windshields are covered 100% by insurance anyway so even less reason to worry about that. I've got a decent chip currently and am looking into swapping my 21 over to a 24 windshield so I can get rid of the antenna on the fender. If it's not feasible I'll be moving it into the cab somewhere since I very rarely use AM/FM anyway.

Have you guys checked out the 2024 Wrangler's exterior and interior updates? What are your thoughts? Is it worth selling my other kidney in the black market (just kidding)?

Well we have a 23 with 13000 miles. My wife wants a pink or hydro blue. But the increase in payments and other than the bigger screen is the only thing that is really different. Plus knock on wood no problems at all
