When is a 37 a 37? Does this elusive beast exist?

It's a simple question, but I know the answer is not.

Is there a 37in AT or MT that is REALLY 37 INCHES? Or has true sizing on tires gone the way of women's clothing?

My 37x12.5 17" Nitto Ridge grapplers come in at 36" at 32PSI. If your wanting a true 37" tire you might have to buy a 38"

I think nearly all Interco tires run true to size (Interco might = Super Swampers in your AO). Some Toyos run true.

I find that hard to believe especially knowing how small the K02s run

Those seem like manufacturers specs at max inflation pressure. There’s no way a KO2 is 36.5. Their 37s are closer to the mid to upp 35 range at normal operating pressure.

37” KO2 with 32 psi will measure 35” loaded on a wrangler. You might get a hair over 35”. Nowhere near 36.5” loaded on a wrangler. That goes for all BFGs in a 37.

Yep, any of those diameter measurements would be w/ no load, and I assume max pressure.

KO2 is notoriously for smaller diameter. Their 315 C load measures about 33.7 on my stock Rubicon wheels loaded. So basically, 285 KO2 (stock Rubicon) is 32.2, and 315 is 33.5, and 37 is actually 35.5

On the other hand, they may unintentionally save a lot of mall crawlers' axles and ball joints by claiming they "went 37".

2018 2-door Sport-S 6-speed. KO2s just installed. 36.0" horizontal, 35.25" vertical front and back @ 30 psi. Also, FYI mounted on stock Rubicon rims (17x7.5"), they are only 11.5" wide. Hope this helps someone looking to upgrade.
