  1. It ticks me off when other drivers....................

Someone in a random low slung sedan goes down a one-lane mud trail (marked with warning signs that it is "impassable" (aka fun) after heavy rain) and then proceeds to get out of his car and yell at the driver of the Jeep behind them (aka me), screaming to back off and get out of his way because...
  2. WTF mods

Okay. Okay. Okay, so this is what happened to your 38s. Okay, so. So, I parked to get some milk and then it was already like this when I came out. The end.
  3. Wife wants a 392...wtf?

Plus, down the road one can be used for parts.
  4. Pass on the Gorilla Glass

I've solved the problem. Buy THIS and add THIS.
  5. Pass on the Gorilla Glass

For me, I dont see the point in having such an expensive and apparently overrated (from some of these posts) windshield unless you're planning on being so far away from civilization that Safelite can't get to you. I dont know about other states (I'd be interested to know), but in FL windshield...
  6. Exact Center is a steering stabilizer new for Jeeps

Post copy of warranty? Has this unit been tested through X number steering cycles? I was actually thinking of going with 2 of these cement truck stabilizers: https://www.monroeheavyduty.com/en-US/products/magnum-spring-over-steering-stabilizer/
  7. Got the V41 recall work done

FIAT = Fix It Again Tony.
  8. Had my steering damper replaced today.

Its only 730 am, but that is the funniest thing I have read all day.
  9. Had my steering damper replaced today.

Mine came from the factory just like this. I just noticed it a couple weeks ago and have been wondering about it. I just havent looked into it with all the other things going wrong with my steering lately. Seeing as how it's a damper in both directions, what difference does it make? Is there an...
  10. Exact Center is a steering stabilizer new for Jeeps

How is this different than, say, what a dual nitrogen stabilizer setup does? I'd like to know how it works to keep the steering centered any better. It seems to me there is going to be assistance and resistance either direction turned. Explanation?
  11. 37’s steering wear / issues

I agree. In this case, with less than a half tank and maybe a week or two into 37s around town I tend to think the wear was already there...just not detectable before. It's sure falling apart now LOL . I'm usually middle of the road picky when it comes to quality, as I don't intend to do...
  12. 37’s steering wear / issues

Probably the reinstall stressed the plastic......I mean how many times could you press these in I wonder....? Edit: I'm mean press them out and back in..
  13. 37’s steering wear / issues

I appreciate the info and will be taking a closer look at the ball joints. I was eyeing the giant pry bar in the corner of my garage the last time I had it up on jackstands, considering perhaps I ought to lever it under a tire to see if I could detect some play, but I thought "Naaah it's only...
  14. So I want to mount a chainsaw….

Unrelated, but may I suggest this is a good time to change your avatar to a hocky mask?
  15. 37’s steering wear / issues

Giving an old thread CPR. Not 2 weeks into going from Rubicon stock tires on a 50k+ mile Sport-S 2-door Quadratec (Skyjacker) 2.5" lift to 37x12.7x17 developed an intermittent baby little hangnail wobble that got worse--bad enough to barely need mitigation vs just being an minor annoyance when...
  16. Jeep Wrangler 392 engine failure after 25 miles - Update 01/15/22

If they do When the dealer replaced my D44 rear axle, they didnt open it up. They sent it back to the factory for analysis, so no one ever found out what the failure was. I suspect this will be handled similarly.
  17. Jeep Wrangler 392 engine failure after 25 miles - Update 01/15/22

12 miles with no gas is a lot of pushing with the ignition on.
  18. Jeep Wrangler 392 engine failure after 25 miles - Update 01/15/22

I'd ask for either a replacement vehicle or, (much) better yet, for a Hellcat engine (salivating). Going to all the trouble of replacing a stock Jeep part with the same one is the definition of mediocrity...
