I am really disappointed with the wheel well liners on my JLU Rubicon. They move around, have tons of holes to catch rocks and mud, and seem useless.

Does anyone else have the same problem with the plastic linings of their wheel wells?

I have the Sport S and I'm seeing the same problem. I had to take off the front piece between the bumper and headlights as they were rubbing turning into my driveway and gas stations. Then I noticed the rear ones started rubbing when I backed into my driveway so they too are about to go bye-bye.

Jeep apparently went super, super cheap on many things with the new Wrangler. From the inner fenders, to the window buttons already wearing the letters off within 2 weeks, to the softop knocking off or breaking the little holder for the rear window wiring, it just goes on and on.

I love my new JL, but I fear I will have to spend a ton of money in the not too distant future replacing cheap plastic that should not be this crappy in a 50k automobile.

I noticed that they are pretty flimsy and not well attached as I was cleaning up from a recent wheeling trip. To me they are disposable anyway. I'll likely replace the front ones with some aluminum fender liners and remove the rears entirely once they irritate me enough.

Maybe they did figure out they'd save money and assumed that everybody would be replacing them anyways or replacing the whole fenders...

Don't be too judgemental--

My new RAM wheel liners aren't what you would expect in a BIG PICKUP, they're pretty flimsy plastic also !

If you have holes--PATCHEM, if they're coming loose in spots--reattach with stronger fasteners--don't discard them, they have a purpose, even if flimsy-

Whatever
