Carpet over wheel well

Hi! I have a 2017 Jeep Wrangler Sport. The carpet over the wheel well is 1,5 “ shorter on one side and the carpet won’t stay in. Is this a factory defect or normal? Thank you for your time and have a great day!!

Welcome to another Tennessean. Someone here can probably answer, but you might also seek out an answer on a jk forum. This one is mostly for the new model JL, and there may be some difference between the two. A lot of people on here have owned Jks, so you’ll probably get your answer.
