I finally pulled the trigger on the Roam steps Friday. I really wanted the LOD Destroyers but I can't wait forever and I have never needed sliders anyway. The Roams will do exactly what I need. What kind of delivery times are you guys seeing?

They have kinda just ramped up production so I would contact Anthony at [email protected]. You may get it faster than some of us have.

I got on the waitlist on April 26th, and the steps were delivered July 21st. Might be faster now that production has picked up.

I don't even want to think about that. My dang jeep only took 19 days from order to sitting on the lot. Hindsight being 20/20 I should have ordered back then. I wasted a lot of time waiting on another product which is another story and clearly not Roams fault.

Just got my ROAM steps delivered as well in something that used to be a box but resembles confetti. Luckily the driver and I found the missing #2 set of brackets in the truck. Amazingly the steps look undamaged. Anthony needs to stop selecting the 'Meat Grinder' service UPS offers for these shipments.

Seriously @ROAM, who did you piss off at UPS?

OK, maybe not so serious..

I got ROAM steps today as well and the box is barely holding on. I haven’t had a chance to check them, but hoping everything is there.

Not defending UPS (some people like their jobs & some don’t) but these boxes are 100lbs. After tossing them from UPS truck to UPS truck across many states, this is likely to happen. I’ve checked a 25lb bag through an airline & it was destroyed. If the boxes are the only thing being damaged (who cares) Anthony does a good job wrapping these. And most people who have received them (with exception of 1 or 2 post I’ve seen) these steps arrive in good shape. I myself, did mention my box was beat to shit, but more so for just a heads up. I’d rather it be that box than those “exspensive” steps!

If you receive your steps and they ARE messed up, what is the procedure for getting them sent back and replaced? I have no intention of installing with scratches all over them. Mine are scheduled for delivery tomorrow.

No way would I accept and install if they were scratched, etc.. Sounds like @ROAM needs to do a better job at packaging. There has been multiple people stating the product arrived damaged. Can't just blame UPS..... packing needs to be better.

Just this issue alone would keep me from ordering if I were considering the product.

I didn't get @ROAM steps so I am not picking on how they pack them since I have no firsthand knowledge. To offer a suggestion though, my LOD bumper and sliders were in plastic bags with the screws and other metal pieces in a separate cardboard box packed inside the main box (to avoid them sliding around and scratching anything). The box was then filled with Great Stuff (the expanding foam). It was a PITA to unpack, but even with a giant hole in the side of my slider box, everything arrived undamaged.

I installed Westin Snyper Triple Tube Rock Rails
Went in pretty easy, just a little cumbersome, (I used a floor jacks and my nine year sold to line them up. Pretty easy and straightforward install. I think they match the Rubicon's ruggedness perfectly

Started pouring shortly after this, so no better pics yet

Follow up: They look great and are very sturdy; Had a slight squeak/creak on the passenger side. Took out my torque ratchet and tightened them to slightly less them to 70 lbs. I am terrified of breaking the body bolt. One thing I noticed, the reach body bolt washer seems to be slightly in contact with the rail, and I thought that would be the source of the creak I was hearing. After I tightened up and hit the area that seems to touch with some WD 40 I took it out for a ride and no creak. These look great and the short wife and 9 year old love them
