From what I’ve seen it was added because the passenger front tire would roll up under the vehicle in an offset front collision and cause the vehicle to roll over. This bracket supposedly prevents that from happening.
Well I just looked up the video and the crash test was on the driver side, but maybe they added this to the passenger side and something different on the driver side. 🤷‍♂️

Well hell, that damn bracket must have gotten misplaced as I was doing the suspension upgrade on my '24 JLR-X 😁

Mine have worked pretty well as skid plates so they're staying...

You can probably order a replacement through your local Jeep dealer, or maybe moparpartsonline. Seems like a big piece to misplace. Hopefully you didn't leave it in your pocket or something and it finds its way into the washing machine, like a beat up dollar bill. It'd beat the hell out of your machine, but if it does I guess you can ask for some advice online about where to find a good deal on a washing machine, although you'll probably get razzed a bit by your fellow Jeepers for having lost it in the first place. Actually, that's pretty dumb.

Yup, I can understand how the bolted on parts could get misplaced...I just cannot figure out how the welded-on sub bracket went missing, hell even the frame mounted threaded inserts went MIA... 🤣

Pretty sure the welding robot on that section of the assembly line went down briefly. That bracket was never there and got missed during quality control inspection. 🤓
