Right, what I meant was; the new $2500 wheels look friggin awesome!!! Awesomeness bro, excellent choice. I've never seen a better looking wheel! :like:
I would have preferred ~ 12 mm, but it wasn’t an option. I was sweating unwanted poke with -1 mm, :whew: even with the extensions. Still, 40 lbs less than stock wheels rotational mass and unsprung weight was worth the risk to me. 😊

All I can say is that I think my 0 offset wheels are just about perfect on my Rubicon with stock flares. They poke enough that I haven't yet ripped my flares off while offroading which is a win in my book.

I wouldn't mind staying at 0 - the pic is my husband's jeep, my '18 now is actually at 0 but when mine is parked next to his his looks more aggressive & I'm jealous. Also thinking since I'm going from 4d to 2d it would help with stability to be a little wider.

You're forgetting that the fender is 1 inch wider, which is more than the added axle width (3/4"). OP wants the same relative position of edge of the wheel to the fender. Let me break it down:

1. Current offset is -18mm.
2. The new Jeep has fenders that are one inch (call it 24mm) wider than the old. Thus, if the axles were identical, to maintain the same tire poke, the new wheel offset would have to move out 24mm, which would be -42mm.
3. The new Jeep has axles that are 3/4" wider on each side, so the starting position for the wheel is 18mm further out than the old Jeep. This has to be accounted for by moving the wheel back in by 18mm.
4. -42mm + 18mm = -24mm

Or as I said, if you are moving the wheel mounting surface out by 3/4" (axles), and the fender out by 1", you have to move the wheel out by 1/4" (6mm) to match the existing poke. The current wheel offset is -18mm. -18mm - 6mm = -24mm.
This is the kind of math I was trying to do but I keep losing myself in it.

So are you positive or 0?
I'm positive theres no poke 😁

They're factory steel wheels (not the most attractive) 17x7.5 offset is 44mm if I remember correctly. They have paired well with my skinny tires though.
