I've been in the tech world for over 30 years. I was also a Crew Chief on a C-141B in the Air Force for 4 years and on a C-130H3 in the Air National Guard for 6. I'm VP of IT now for a national company.

I started my illustrious career pounding the ground with a shovel in a mine, followed by pounding the ground in the infantry. Then I was a ranch hand for years, doing all sorts of odd jobs, the most memorable being digging out and repairing a big septic system that was in use (splatter, splatter).

In spite of my aversion for schools, I did visit some, and eventually I started working in IT, designing and writing software. I'm still in IT, doing that and a few other things.
