I'm getting a bit of sticker shock looking at that double (assuming that's the right size), but that definitely looks like what I'd need.
Fits in the Tentrax perfectly. Definitely one of those buy once cry once items.

This was the old set up, but it didn’t like going off-road, it was easy to high-center on anything much bigger than a speed bump and, during covid, people were willing to pay 30% more than we bought it for three years earlier, so we sold it. (The new coach is a mini-super-c built on an F600. It’s undergoing a single-wheel conversion and suspension upgrade. Should be done by Christmas.)

You'll have to come back and report on the single wheel conversion.
We've been looking at a SuperC and I was thinking about looking into a super single for the rear. Not sure if it would work or not, don't know the size of the OE tire and wheel yet. Figured I'd wait until we purchased it. Maybe this next spring or the following if I can hold the wife back.

Will do.

“Super C” is a popular term without a firm definition. Many say a coach is not really “super” unless it’s built on a Freightliner chassis or similar. We wanted 4x4 and good GVWR, as so many class C RVs are too close to max weight rating when they are empty. We looked hard at the Dynamax built on the Dodge 5500 Chassis, but we wanted a full length bed, a washer/dryer, and some other features, so we went with a Linege built on the Ford F600.

RV margins are ridiculous, and mods that cost $100 at the factory will translate to $140 at dealer cost, and $230 or more at retail, so we are doing the single wheel conversion aftermarket. We were going to do it that was even if we went with Dynamax (Forest River).

Here’s a video showing the Dynamax “Extreme“ version in the Oregon dunes:

you might like the RidgeRest pads.

durable, fairly light, good insulation from the ground, nice padding over irregularities (roots, rocks, etc.), and no fussy inflatable business to fail.

Sweet setup! Unfortunately, having a dog means I'll most likely have to find something that's foam-only.

Just had 2 blowouts rear axle 3000 miles apart on my poor old class c, didn't really notice other than noise. dual wheels not that bad, I have onboard air and pressure gages to easily check pressure old school. That said, I am selling out and going trailer behind the pickup

We got rid of our camp trailer a few years ago and have been using an enclosed trailer since. I've added front shelfs/cabinets and a rear lift bed, so we can take the RZR. I pull it with my JTRD. We've down sized, no full size diesel, no big SUV anymore. Just our JLURD and JTRD.
When we get a motorhome, it will have TPMS, or I'll add it. We'll pull one of the Jeeps or the enclosed trailer.

I’m surprised we don’t see more tire failures on Class C coaches. My old class C came with “China bombs” that were within 5% of their max rated weight on the rear if the tanks were full — and that was before adding me, wife, camping gear, dog, food, and tongue weight of the trailer. We immediately upgraded the tires to provide some safety margin.

I know people shouldn’t travel with full tanks, but they do it all the time, and some RVs are loaded to the gills and then hooked to trailers they’re not rated to tow. I think God is mighty patient/generous with us dumb humans.

I've dialed back my camping setup. I used to use a roof top tent, drawers, awning, fridge slide, mounted battery, solar etc, but realized that I do not go on enough trips to have all of that junk permanently installed on my vehicle.

Now I use a Gazelle T3X, Bluetti AC70 battery, the same ICECO 50L fridge without a slide, and the black and yellow plastic totes everyone has.

I use my F-150 for long distance trips and my Jeep for when I'll do rougher offroad. My F-150 can still handle level 5 trails or so. It is on 35s and a 2.5" lift.
