I am still pretty new to all of this. I recently had a 3inch lift installed on my 2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. I was reading several people said I would need to change my driveshaft. While looking I noticed front drive shaft and rear drive shaft. Which should I do? Or should I do both? Thanks in advance and sorry for the dumb question…I am still learning.

Front Drive shaft. If you have a 3"+ lift you will out extend the angle of your front drive shaft.

Is that somehow mitigated with the design of AEV's lift? As far as I know that's never been an issue with mine.

I have a metal cloak 3.5" lift and the driveshaft angle is so acute that it hits the crossmember. MC has very long spring extension and shocks. I didn't really believe it either until I saw how steep that angle was. I had to take my jeep to a rear end/driveline place because the tool to hold the yoke was $400-500. They did it for under $200.

I have a 3" Teraflex lift and the front driveshaft cv/rzeppa joint has worn out and the driveshaft "clicks" when engaged. I'm replacing the joint tomorrow with the high angle replacement joint that Teraflex makes just for that reason. I will be getting an Adams driveshafts when funding permits.

Might want to research that Teraflex joint a bit before using it, not sure if anything has changed since this thread was posted awhile back but it sounds like there was no advantage to it.

Thanks for the heads-up. I'm putting it on my JK. I've seen where they say it has no changes to the JL. Still wish I could afford new Adams driveshafts though. :like:
There was a sale. I think I paid $450 for my Adams drive shaft. Came with everything need for replacement. I think you can do a search for Adams Drive shaft coupons and see if there are any discounts.
