If you stop, let ESS shut off the engine, open the door, put the Jeep in park and then shut the door, ESS is still in some operational state. I do this when I pick my wife up from work. When we are ready to go I put the Jeep in drive and the engine starts. I have not sat long enough to see if ESS would start to charge or warm the cabin in this situation though. She usually only makes me wait a minute or two.ESS is disabled unless you are in a gear in the 3.6L with the auto. If you put it into Park or Neutral ESS will be disabled, the engine will idle. If you leave it in drive, set the parking brake, and get out, auto park will put it into park for you and ESS will be disabled.
Is your foot on the brake the entire time in that scenario? If you stop, let ESS shut off the engine, open the door, put the Jeep in park and then shut the door, ESS is still in some operational state. But if he had done this I would expect that the engine would have been warm and it sounds like it was not.
Only until I put it in park.Is your foot on the brake the entire time in that scenario?
CLEARLY itās cats. You must have cats. Our cats donāt just change the TV channel; they literally REPROGRAM the remote - repeatedly. I know when itās about to happen, because I will see them gazing at the ceiling motionless, communicating with the mother ship, receiving instructions.7 AM today, wife tells me my Wrangler is running. This is a 2019 Sport, 3.6 AT, no remote start. Has 1700 miles. It was parked overnight in the driveway. The fob was inside. When I went out, it had stopped. The hood was covered in frost and fuel gauge was reading what it had when I parked it last night, so it clearly wasnt running all night. Gear shift was in park. When I tried it, it started normally.
Anyone have any possible explanation?

Mike, they can be insidious, devious little things. They have special powers...and tinfoil hats will not protect you from their limited mind control.no cats here...that I know of...?
Donāt you mean UNlimited mind control?Mike, they can be insidious, devious little things. They have special powers...and tinfoil hats will not protect you from their limited mind control.
