Every Sunday, thousands of Californians leave Vegas to go home after their weekend of fun. I work in Primm, Nevada located on on the state line. Here is a pic of todays bumper to bumper traffic on IH-15 for 12 miles between Jean and Primm Nevada.
That 12 miles takes an average of 45-60 minutes to get thru if there are no accidents. Today the traffic started at 11am and it is now 8pm and still there.
I drive thru the desert for the 12 miles to bypass IH-15 every Sunday night shift.
The dirt covers the bumper sensors after a couple miles is the reason for the yellow alert on the side view mirror. Not like there is a car in my blind spot. You need 4wd to get to the desert then it’s go as fast as you want on the dry lake bed while IH-15 traffic is at a stand still.
