Today was the first time my 2018 Jeep Wrangler Sahara JLU has been driven in the rain. I pulled into my garage and opened the door and a small stream of water came pouring down into the Jeep and all over me. I had this issue with my 2013 JKU. I thought with new premium soft top this would be resolved. If they would have just extended the track above the door it would have fix it. Any one else notice this?

Hi Pete,

We wouldn't be able to provide any technical advice but if you're thinking you'd like your Jeep dealer to take a look, let us know. We're available via direct message and would be happy to get this escalated.

Hi Jasmine,

I will take to my local dealer and see what can be done.

Thanks,

Anyone know if there are any aftermarket retailers that sell, or plan to sell, rain gutter extensions such as TruckMasterDesigns did for JKs?

Yep, it is a little annoying as it does it on mine when I open the door to get out. I plan to apply some Black RTV from Permatex there at the end of the rail to help hold the water in the rail. This should stop the water from coming inside.

Does the same on mine and probably all with the short rain gutter - not much your dealer can do as it isnā€™t defective.

Rubi-Zero: let us know if the RTV stops most of the waterfall.

If you block the drain with the way the soft top just rests in the channel most likely you will have water running down the inside of your door when it rains especially if you are stopped.

I believe there is a rubber drain tube in the door interior. I think somewhere in the forum there are photos showing the drains.

Park on an incline so the water drains to the rear.
I park on an incline and my JLUR hard top leaks front passenger side under the dash right about where the cloth door strap attaches to the vehicle.

When parked flat, no issues. I know - park flat. But my driveway is about 9 degree incline. Any ideas?

Mine does the same...tempted to stick a piece of chewed gum in the gutter to prevent this...I'm sure they did some simulated rain testing, hard to believe this can happen.
