I agree there isn't any use on the Rubicon, like I said mine had nothing in them. They were easy to pop off, less than 30 seconds, I wouldn't hold up your install because of them. I was a bit confused when I saw them on mine, so clearly it's a recent change since mine was build in the Julyish timeframe.
Parts Manager just called back and said everything he has seen and everyone he has talked to says the part is correct for the install. Of course a Warn winch plate is not a Mopar part and their mounting location for their winch plate is different so some modification of the brackets will be required. I'll keep you posted on how it goes and will post a few pics.

Just zip them off with an impact or use other means. My November 2019 build has them. I think they all have had them for quite some time. Doubt there are other brackets. Not worth holding up the install and certainly not worth talking with a dealership.

I emailed Warn about the difference. It took a week or so to get a reply but here is what they said:

"I just got word from engineering that Jeep did change the JL brackets in 2020. We are working on revising the bracket to fit. This requires prototyping the bracket, confirming fit up, and then putting them into production. This could take a couple months. I can send you a set of revised brackets when they are available, let me know?"

I had already broken the nuts off with an impact when I received the reply. It is not worth waiting in my opinion. They are super easy to remove. If you do not want to remove them, then your best bet is to look for a different plate.

Well there doesn't appear to be any use on the Rubicon for the extra holes and welded hex nuts coupled with the taller plate, hopefully the parts manager will figure it out otherwise im breaking out my grinder.

Thanx, greatly appreciated
I opened my box last night and mine has the same welded nuts. Watched a video from Trail Recon and see how his doesn't. Did you just grind or break the nuts off? Was it interfering with the skid plate or the winch plate?

Just saw your later responses. So warn needs to adapt their plate to the change. Got it. thanks for the heads up by the way. I researched the bumper swap 4 months ago and just ordered the parts before year end.

I ended up doing the grinder too, took about 20 seconds per side, plus painting over it so it wouldn't rust.

OK so finished the install and this is what I did with those plates.

OK this picture uploaded sideways just tilt your head to the left. Picture shows the plate with the two welded hex nuts and how the plate exceeds the side of the frame

in this photo I took a black sharpie and traced out what part of the plate I will remove.

With the hex nuts grinded off and a small upper part of the plate removed, the plates fit much better and no worries of hanging up on anything.
