I’m looking at mounting a Warn Evo 10s on my factory steel bumper and considering going with a Metalcloak plate instead of the Warn. Anyone have the Metalcloak? Any issues with installing? Would it be better quality than the Warn? Thanks

That looks neat Jeff. Any worries about the rope rubbing on those lugs with a tight angle pull? I’ve had to drag my Jeep sideways after unintended sliding into a few washes and those lugs have me wondering about rub if not interference.

had an about 90° pull while snow wheeling and was not an issue but I could see under the right circumstance the rope would rub but they are every bit as smooth as the fairlead if not smoother. I have a flat link so don't actually use the hooks to wrap the rope on tho. I just did that the day I put it on for a photo.

What’s the concern with the warn plate?

No concern. Looking at the picture with the Maximus3 plate, it appears the grill could be removed without the winch being in the way.

Excellent. My set up doesn't allow that for me. Not apples to apples comparison though as my plate is from Barnes, but seems to be a Warn copy (not certain). I'll have to unbolt and move the relays at a minimum when I'm ready to pull the grill.

might be just the badland winch is larger too. The grill on 24's while ugly does give more space too.

Next time, I'll have to really compare winch capabilities with sizes. This Badland was an impulse buy when they went on sale last December.

I have a buddy who has run one for years and uses it more than most and never had an issue. they were screaming deals for sure.
