I hold off. Thanks.
We called our coater today, and discussed the increased requests for white. They have agreed to keep costs the same between the black and white powder. so the GGB is now available at the same pricing as the black GGB. Lead time on white will be about 3-weeks out for current orders though. We have to build stock up, and get it in inventory.

ordered my black/gray yesterday. Glad to see other colors coming out - I think the white will go really well with the white-jeep and top off.

for my use, the black/gray will be perfect. so the faster it gets here... ;)

Thank you for the order, we really appreciate it. We are about 3 days out on shipping right now, but we will improve if possible.

It looks like when it is loaded you wouldn’t be able to see out of back window. Is that right?

I have one of these installed for a bit now before they went on sale. Ahem.
Few observations
Rock solid.
Really does help storage wise.
Acts as a privacy screen for stuff you’ve got in the back down below
You can still see out the back even with most stuff loaded but of course if you fill it up to ceiling you won’t.
I cut up a yoga mat to provide a non slip surface or else items will slide around or rattle on the metal surface. Would be nice if Vector offered or included one
Because it’s solid, it’s not a quick removal or reinstall - maybe design a quick release add-on?
If you’ve got to remove your front roof panels and put them in the case, you won’t be able to prop them up against the back seat and store other stuff. You’ll have to lay them flat with bottom of case against tailgate to make it just fit or leave your panels at home. Kinda of a pain for me since I live in apt building and would have to go back up elevator to drop off then come back down
Finally, if you want to use something like a Top Lift Pro to make removing your top super easy- you have to uninstall the GGB first which is not a quick thing Right now
Been looking at roof racks and the really solid ones that use the roll bar like Maximus3, AEV, Frontrunner etc may interfere with GGB mounts unless they don’t use the roll bar method.
I’m glad I got one and am thinking about their e-dock for the JL

Correct, If it is completely loaded, it does limit your visibility. But any tire larger than 35" mounted on the tailgate does the same thing to visibility out of the back window.

Thanks for the feedback. Do you have the JK version, or the JL version of the Basket? In our experience, Installation in the JL with a second person to help, takes maybe 5-10 minutes once the brackets are fastened to the basket. The JK takes probably 20-30 the first time, because the roll cage clamps have to be installed first, and then the brackets to the clamps. We will look at what we can do for a non-slip surface option as well.

Any luck with this yet?
Moved down the list of products for now. We are still pushing to get our most popular JK products re-designed for the JL, then we will get back on this. Thanks.

just installed the GBB in a JL - thanks Vector for a solid piece of kit. exactly what I was expecting

installation was a total of 10 minutes - with 5 minutes of that staring at the bracket and trying to make it work "upside down". pro-tip - doesn't work. The long arm points up not down. I almost put together an install video, but I was too excited to get it install to do it. The JK install video got me straight; steps are the same.

1. remove the two "mid" trim pieces off the rear of the roll bar. NOT the pieces with screws in them, the ones right above that piece. They pop off - those little pressure clamp things. there will be two bolt holes under each
2. bolt the mounting bracket arms (with the long part up, and the fold of the basket-mount portion toward the inside - pretty sure it will only go one way) finger-tight to the roll bar
3. get your wife to sit in the jeep and hold the back of the shelf at height while you place a couple screws in the GBB through the bracket to hold it in place.
4. thank wife profusely
5. finish attaching the bolts and wing-nuts (wing nuts are on the outside) to secure the GBB to the bracket - finger tight
6. tighten the mounting bolts (on the roll bar). you can use a socket for the top one (1/2 inch bolts) but you'll need a box wrench for the lower (the GBB is in the way for a socket). Still better than tightening everything as you go - better to have a little flex to let everything slide into place on it's own
7. tighten the wing-nuts and bolts. I used a socket wrench on the bolt, and turned until I couldn't hold the wing nut by hand. felt plenty tight enough

really pleased with the purchase and the look; I tend to carry a lot of stuff so this will help me organize a bit better than throwing everything in the back. A couple future additions -

1. LED light under the shelf. it's pretty dark down there, with black interior, in a garage with decent but not bright light. A single LED strip will do fine
2. I might look hanging a bit of no-see-um netting on the edges; it would block nosy-people from seeing what's in there. A blanket thrown over would do just as well I suppose

maybe I'll rip it out and do a video for people after all - but trailrecon already did a superb job with his. using a couple notes from above it's a brainless install
