I did not - was unaware that you could do that and it would improve the handling. does it affect anything else - i definitely don't want to negatively affect my offroad capability for example.
I don't plan to put a lift on - 33s seem to be plenty for everything I want to do
I went from a 4dr to a 2dr - and it definitely feels a bit 'squirrely' compared to the 4dr above 75mph. if you're closer to 70mph it's planted.
mine's a rubicon with factory BF Goodrich KO2s and it rides amazing, it's the short wheelbase that, as long as you're used to smaller vehicles, it's...
my back seat has been out in the shed since about a week after I bought the Jeep. doubt I'll sell the Jeep, but if I do, it will have a new back seat to go with it
For me, the hardest part of having the 2-door is highway travel of 75mph or faster. I've taken to calling the 2dr a "rollerskate" because it does feel a bit squirrely when compared to a 4dr (which is what I had in 2018).
We do have a Ram 3500 that we use for most of the highway travel; neither...
I just finished installing a Rival aluminum rack on my 2dr. It mounts to the gutter, so I’m not positive on weight rating but the company uses it for RTTs. If I was going to put a RTT on it, I would probably look into their through-the-roof mount system (similar to M3)
in any case - for my...
and to this question - has anyone found any for 2-doors? I have seen them for the 4-door, but for some reason haven't been able to find a flag sticker for 2-door jeeps ;(
After chatting with the Rival rep (through the forum) they 'created' a 2-door package of their rack (so you don't have to buy a 4-door and leave out the extension to fit a two-door)
it arrived yesterday; packaging was perfect, everything wrapped well, no damage whatsoever etc. Directions were...
as a note - they also now sell a two-door version (it's on the web site) to provide exactly what you did - delete the extension part.
at least on the 4-door, feedback has been with the wind deflector there isn't any noise; so I have a wind deflector coming with my 2-door version and we'll see...
oh wow - that is EXACTLY what I was looking for! how do I order that? Do I just order the 4-door version, and not assemble the extension part? Or is there a magical trick to ordering to getting a "2-door" version?
fwiw - there is still a large "gap" in the 2-door rack world; not everyone...
I know the above shows a 4-door - but is there any chance this would also fit / work on a 2-door? I understand that I would lose the convenience of the 'removal' of the t-tops, but would it fit otherwise? I'm about to pull the trigger on a DV8 roof rack, but I like the design of this one much...
as another data point - as of 23Aug2021 (my build date) the 2DR JL Rubicons WITHOUT the trialcam still come with the deeper / larger consoles. So far they haven't shifted to using a single one (maybe they're just using up parts)
quick question for the thread - does the lock'r-down safe work in the 2021 consoles? the page only lists up to 2020, so just looking for confirmation that it does work
I have a lockrdown one in my ram; love it, and have the digital lock with it (love that feature as well) but it doesn't seem to...
I agree with some of the others - the 5% under invoice is still a great price. losing the 1% under ends up costing you ~$400 (~1% of $50k =$500, -$100 to join tread-lightly) so shouldn't be a huge show-stopper for most spending $50k on a Jeep.
the dealers charging $4k over MSRP - those are the...
So a couple months ago I began my search for a new Jeep - I was looking for a 2-door JL Rubicon, only real requirement was hard top and auto, everything else was optional. I figured couldn't be too hard to find something on a dealer lot; hah. well that experience is in another thread, not...

Broncos are like a two year wait. People - many people - aren’t interested in waiting 2 years for a vehicle, no matter how good the hype
that’s what pushed me almost immediately away from even considering the bronco. The wife likes them so I considered it, but when I started digging into it...
I ordered a 2-door JL rubicon with 2.0, auto, led lights, hard top, upgraded stereo, and tow package in sarge green on 9aug. I just got an email from dealer yesterday that he got a scheduled build date of 23aug
That sounds exceptionally lucky for me; two weeks from order date to build
last...
So I've been 'shopping' for a new 2021 JL 2-door Rubicon. Don't really care about the options - more basic is better - auto, hard top. Nothing available local that doesn't have MSRP +2k in garbage options (really - you want $1995 to add window tint, wheel locks, and paint protection...
I agree with many others here - you are making an assumption that 'people' will pay above MSRP for a used vehicle.
- this rarely happens with a dealer; new, maybe - depending if they can slip in the 'market adjustment', or the addon's (I literally just looked at a new 2021 with 2k in markup for...
