Maybe someone can do some long term testing over multiple oil changes submitting samples to Blackstone Labs for analysis.
I wouldn't use Blackstone if you are looking for accurate test results including fuel content and TBN.

Use Horizon/Polaris instead.

How does Horizon/Polaris oil test cost compare? Have you done side by side testing between the two?

I was thinking Blackstone would be okay for trend analysis.

Yes, I started with Blackstone and have 30+ tests with them before switching.

Blackstone does not use the latest ASTM test methodologies, their fuel content test is very subjective (visual flame test versus gas chromatography), they are not ISO 17025 certified, they charge for TBN test separately, and they cost more than Horizon/Polaris.

Horizon/Polaris is superior in every way possible.

I’m on their website and I don’t see an easy way to submit samples. What am I missing?

None... but it pays well.
As an update.... I am a few hundred from 2500 on 2nd oil change. Checked oil visually and it is as dark as the original oil that was in vehical when purchased with 5k on its life. So with that said, it seems to be mostly done with cleaning the engine. I figure on the next oil change, another run with Restore and Protect should get things close to squeaky clean. At 91,000 on odo still does not drink a drop of oil. Also running hard time to time after 2k on Restore and Protect when warmed up will loosen the residue on and around rings quicker.

I'm pretty sure I'll never need to use another oil. The price for a 5qt jug should be higher on this oil... just hope Valvoline does not figure it out. Ha!

Can't wait for my next oil change... will send out my 5 samples for analysis at Blackstone.

I don't mind your posts, but this one takes the cake. AMISOIL is not Restore and Protect, nor can do what this product does. Unless you have tried it or have questions then by all means. Else peeps here on this thread my block you as a bot.
Perhaps you should have read his post in its entirety before responding…

Since I've already mentioned Lake Speed and his company Speediagnostix in this thread, they also do oil analysis. I don't know how they compare to some of the other oil analysis companies mentioned here but it might be worth a look.

ROFL...I take it you can read?

Amsoil sells the UOA kits that @dragoneggs was asking about.

Damn man...

As far as Valvoline...Group II+/III oil owned by Saudi Arabia... color me unimpressed.

Wonder the same, look to be super friendly report. unfortunately living in the great white north I'm afraid that my oil sample will be summited to vigorous border check... :headbang:
