Using the rearview camera as digital rearview mirror

While wheeling I often block my rearview mirror. Is the a secrete way to enable the factory rearview camera at any speed? I don't want to add another camera just for this function at highway speeds

Push the backup camera button on the radio screen? Probably depends on which radio you have, I have the 8.4 with an icon on the bottom. Or I believe there is a Tazer function that allows you to hit the mute button twice to turn the rear cam on.

I have no idea how to get the camera to stay on when moving though.

Last option... wheel in reverse.

Works with the Tazer. When I hit my signals, the rear view comes on and like laroo said, tap the mute and it stays on.

I used my cargo rack the other day to haul out some old tires someone dumped. I was worried they might fall off so I thought it would be a cool feature to press a button to turn the camera on & off while driving.

There's definitely something in the settings to activate it while in drive, because my base 5" radio can turn the camera on while driving. It will stay on for about 1 minute I think.

Edit: Just tried it before. Seems to stay on about 30 seconds or so. I'm not sure if you're driving slowly if it'll stay active longer.

With the Stinger Radio I can turn on the factory rear and it stays until i switch cameras or go back to radio etc...
