Upgrading from the 5" UConnect3 to 7" UConnect4?

I have a manual and just swapped out my 5" for a 7". Was wondering if all the extra sensor connections were required for that control stack to work

You have to have the correct sun sensor and the cabin air temp sensor for it to work.

Maybe a stupid question. Will the knobs and the buttons on the control unit work without the additional wiring? I am not worried about the touchscreen controls.

The knobs and buttons work but without the cabin temp sensor you will get either full hot or full cold from the AC. You will have to change the programming in the body control module to Dual Zone ATC. Do you have either the JScan app or a Tazer to make those changes?
