Quick overview, Ive owned this Tazer Lite since I bought my JL in 18’. Purchased new from Zautomotive. I haven’t done anything but change tire size and that’s it. Haven’t really kept up with the updates or anything either (Why fix it if it ain’t broke)


Anyway, wanted to unmarry it becuase I have to take it in and have all of the recalls done. Removed the old program from my Mac and installed the latest. then updated the Tazer to the latest, first to 11.3.0 ( Had the follow issues with both versions) and then back to 11.2.8.

The following pics are what I end up with. It doesn’t look like it recognizes the vehicle or the VIN and it doesn’t give me the option to unmarry it.

Any help would be appreciated. TIA

I would have suggested you unmarry before updating…don’t run a Tazer anymore but that would have been the safest bet, I’m sure Joe can take care of it

Do you really think ZAutomotive monitors each and every Tazer JL related post here and elsewhere on the internet...

In your post here, you did not tag Joe from ZAutomotive so he is not aware of your post/issue..... You need to reach out to ZAutomotive!

You can text Joe @ ZAutomotive and ask him.... TEXT, Joe at 631-533-3363
He'll get back at you...... usually takes a few hrs. for his reply.

In regards to whether to unmarry before you do a firmware update... If you are using a Mac..... YES do always unmarry first. Even with a PC, I myself would unmarry...

I do not know “JOE” from Zautomotive, nor is there any contact information on their website. So clearly I could not “TAG” him or “Text” him, much less call him.
