Anyone know why the UD44 is about $1,200 cheaper from MOPAR? Shipping estimate for me was $300 for an axle set. I’m trying to figure out if Quadratec or NR4x4 do something extra.

I'm often occupied, by many things, often at the same time
I was part of a conversation a bit ago about used prices, what people post their used or take-offs for, and how often they are priced higher than new through Mopar. I don't know the specifics of your axle through Mopar, but it doesn't surprise me that it's cheaper through Mopar. I have a couple copies of the varies Jeep Performance Part catalogs, and especially if your dealer will knock off a small percentage (a friend is a parts manager), the prices are very reasonable, especially compared to some other vendors.

Yeah, $4,500 plus shipping for a UD44 with chromoly shafts, locker, R&P of choice, and ball joints. I want iron knuckles so I’m happy they aren’t included. Wish I could get it with an ARB locker, but I might just rock it e-locker for a while then swap if I break a tooth.

Have you checked with Benny?@AllMoparParts.com

He always gets me great deals and breaks on shipping, though I’m not sure they can do much for a crate axle on the shopping side anyways.

They’ve got the good price, I’m just trying to figure out if something gets added on by NR4x4 or Quadratec that would change the calculation. It doesn’t seem like it. Even if they added knuckles and a tie rod they’d still be $300 over MOPAR.
