The dealer reflashed the Uconnect update and CarPlay has worked properly since....but we have not left town and it normally does it after a long road trip. We will see what happens.

We're having the same issue with Android phones. We're going to have to plug our primitive but accurate GPS unit into the cigarette lighter until ours gets fixed. Frustrating!!!

I’ve been having the issue since day 1. I chalked it up waiting early adopter pains and assumed that a software update would fix it. Unfortunately it’s still going even after iOS 12. It usually corrects itself after about 10 minutes, which was tolerable when I lived Phoenix. I just relocated to Seattle and 10 minutes can mean ending up on the wrong side of the city. Got off the phone with customer service and they said they had never heard of the problem before. It would be nice if there was a way to get this escalated to @JeepCares right away. Very frustrating.

I completely understand your frustration. I found a TSB that may help with this. TSB 08-012-18 REV. D, published on November 1, 2018. One of the symptoms listed on this TSB is, "While in CarPlay or AndroidAuto Google maps showing wrong location". I suggest speaking with your dealer to learn more details about this TSB and to see if it applies to your Jeep. I completely understand your frustration. I found a TSB that may help with this. TSB 08-012-18 REV. D, published on November 1, 2018. One of the symptoms listed on this TSB is, "While in CarPlay or AndroidAuto Google maps showing wrong location". I suggest speaking with your dealer to learn more details about this TSB and to see if it applies to your Jeep. Can you check my repair history and see if this is the update they applied to my jeep? It has been a couple weeks and the UC has not shown the wrong location...

I did not PM you directly because I wanted other forum members to know that this fix seems to be working.

Also the ECM update apparently fixed the loud fan issue.

Still no resolution to the hot air coming out of the passenger floorboard with AC on high. Dealer told me they could not duplicate the issue.

Hi Brett,
I was able to speak with your dealer to see which update they performed on your Jeep. Due to the fact that we consider this information private, I sent you a private message so you can be made aware of what TSB was performed. I also let your case manager know that you are still experiencing the hot air coming from the floorboard.

I'm having a very similar problem, the compass is always showing the exact opposite direction, and when ever my wife or I plug in our Samsung phones, the Android Auto thinks we are in Toledo, Ohio (we are in LA). Also, when we tell the clock to set automatically it jumps to east coast time (the time zone of Toledo, Ohio).

It will also override our phone's maps too. For example, after unplugging the phone from the car the maps on the phone say we are in Toledo for about 20 seconds until it re-acquires its own signal and correctly updates the location.

We have tried driving in tight circles but it doesn't seem to help.

I was hoping by coming here that there was some sort of way we could re-calibrate the gps on our own so I don't need to make a service appointment.
I have this same problem. On a road trip through Utah and Arizona but it thinks I'm still in Vegas. Very annoying.

I was able to get TSB 08-012-18 REV. D applied last week to my 7” uConnect. The good news is that, after a week, my navigation appears to be working perfectly. However, there are some other issues I wanted to bring to your attention in case there is another fix out there.

1. The left hand steering wheel rocker switch, which is used to advance or reverse music tracks on the Apple Music app, works intermittently. Most of the time the switch doesn’t work at all for advancing music tracks. The rocker switch works for all other functions.
2. Sometimes the music library doesn’t show up in the CarPlay music app. This is very intermittent.
3. Sometimes the phone doesn’t show up, at all, as a connected device. I have double checked to insure the lightening connector port is clean and I’ve tried several cables to the point that I’m sure these are not causing the issue.

I’m VERY happy that the nav issue appears to be resolved. I’m just hoping you have some advice on the other issues.

Just got the update. Maps worked for first time in months without showing me in the wrong location.

Thanks @JeepCares for the info on the TSB!

@Sgt Beavis ill let you know if i see any of the issues you are having. I use CarPlay too.

I fixed this issue by getting an Android phone. Problem solved .

I fixed this issue by getting an Android phone. Problem solved .
It's been reported on android phones too. but I hope for your sake it really is solved.

I have Android Auto on a Google Pixel 2 XL and I am experiencing the issue. Next time I go in for an oil change I will bring it up at the dealership. I didn't notice it until I drove outside of Las Vegas where I live.

I have the same issue with the left rocker working intermittently and with the GPS signal locking. I have the 7" UConnect as well. Anyone have any luck with finding out how to do a hard reset without going to a dealer and if it actually works?
