  1. Maximus-3 JL Tow Loops (Front & Rear)

Thanks! Seems like the Maximus-3 loops are the way to go (can't compromise safety). Blue-Ox makes adapters that have a 1" wide opening that could fit the Arcus tow hooks. I'm shying away from this solution.
  2. Maximus-3 JL Tow Loops (Front & Rear)

Hi, I have this same bumper and looking for a solution to flat tow. Did you have to cut into the bumper to install the Maximus tow loops? Also, any reason why you shouldn't tow from the tow hooks already installed on the bumper? Blue Ox makes some adapters to be able to connect to them.
  3. Knock in rear with Dana 44

I believe only vehicles equipped with the Rear Dana 44 with Limited slip are affected.
  4. Knock in rear with Dana 44

Agreed, they have always provided a rental the 4 times I've gone through this process.
  5. Strange Knocking Sound

Sounds like your rear DIFF is knocking. Does the MOAB edition have the Limited Slip Dana 44? I think you have the issue on this thread: https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/knock-in-rear-with-dana-44.16921/page-88#post-1326900 My Sport S with the Limited slip rear has had this noise...
  6. Anyone having issue with dash Compass and GPS?

The dealer also told me I need the entire radio replaced. They tried a software update 1st and no dice. Why wouldn't they just replace the GPS card?
  7. Knock in rear with Dana 44

I noticed the part number on the case kit is different than the part they used on mine in 2019 (Part# 68401154AB). It must be a newer version of the case assembly. Is that the same part # they used on your 1st fix?
  8. Knock in rear with Dana 44

Here's the repair history on mine. Purchased the Jeep in late September of 2018. It is currently at the dealer on it's 4th fix. They are using the same faulty part number. Did I mention it's been at the dealer for nearly 2 months? Update - Got my Jeep back yesterday, 11/18. Here's...
  9. Knock in rear with Dana 44

As far as I know. Only the Dana 44 with Limited Slip is affected. Equipped on Sport S and Sahara models. What Chrysler has been doing is either replacing the carrier assembly or the entire rear axle. Yes, it continues to fail after they "fix" it. I'm on my 4th "fix". Fails every 5-6 moths.
  10. Knock in rear with Dana 44

I too wonder if it is safe to drive. It took over 2 weeks for my case manager to call me. And that was after a lot of complaining from me on why I had not received a call. The last 3 times I have dealt with this the case managers communicated promptly. Not sure what the deal is this time...
  11. Knock in rear with Dana 44

Yeah, that's my concern. Then it will void the warranty. You are right about time and frustration. It's been a roller-coaster ride. My little Dana 30 in the front is holding up like a champ! Trying to find some silver lining here....
  12. Knock in rear with Dana 44

What is the new part number? They used 68401151AD on mine last time and have this same one on order again.
  13. Knock in rear with Dana 44

On mine they replaced the carrier twice and entire axle once. They are now looking to replace the axle a 2nd time.
  14. Knock in rear with Dana 44

Have not considered it yet. I really shouldn't have to do that. You would think it would hold up fine. Haven't heard of these issues with the JKs.
  15. Knock in rear with Dana 44

I am going through the same nightmare. My Jeep is at the dealer for the 4th time now and they just told me yesterday about the Axle that is on order. It's the same one as before! At a loss of what to do.
  16. Knock in rear with Dana 44

Mine has started knocking again. This will be the 4th time I'm having to deal with this defect. 1st - replaced carrier assembly and one of the axle shafts 2nd - replaced carrier assembly 3rd -replaced entire axle @JeepCares - Help! There has to be something different that can be done to...
  17. Rugged Ridge Spartacus HD Tire Carrier Installed

I had a similar rattle on mine. I added some electrical tape to the tailgate where it sits on that plastic guide (tailgate stabilizer I think it's called.) underneath the latch. Hope I'm explaining it right. Jeep puts some nylon tape. The nylon tape had worn out . That stopped the rattle.
  18. Wheel Falls off on Highway After Tire Rotation

Will be taking it to a local Jeep Only Dealer to vet the repairs and do their own diagnosis.
  19. Wheel Falls off on Highway After Tire Rotation

Didn't notice anything until I got up to speed merging on the freeway. Jeep started shacking. Felt like a flat. Immediately let off the accelerator and that's when the wheel flew off.
