been doing some reading and some have said there can be loose wires causing the "uconnect box needs service" alert..I read it was behind the glove box but nothing behind my 2024 glove box. Any ideas where to look for loose wires/connections? my XM radio works fine thanks.

You'll need to scan the code to see what's causing it. The cellular antenna #2 code due to a bad antenna connection is VERY common on our products, but I've never seen it on a JL before. I have, however, had to replace a few telematics modules on 24s already for internal failure DTCs.

so will it actually need to be showing the uconnect box error for them to get the code as it comes on and then goes off and will stay off for several miles before coming back on. yesterday it was off most of the time I was driving and the red assist and sos buttons were also not lit up today it came back on for a while but then went off again. thanks.

Codes should saved in the system. I actually ran into this exact issue the other day; the 7-way microphone in the front headliner failed and was causing this. It was two microphone open DTCs active. It was a 2024 as well. With the microphones not working assist/SOS is obviously disabled

I notice in the jeep app it is not logging trips when the assist/sos lights are lit red..xm radio works fine. I actually have not tried the phone. I have little faith in my dealer but not much else to do. I was hoping they would at least check for codes today when I took it in but they said bring it back next Wednesday and they would look at it..I am guessing parts will need to be ordered.

well for the last 3 days it hasn't popped on the screen and the sos and assist have not lit up red..the trip log in the app tho is only partially working. today I did about 150 miles and it only logged part of the trip and said I was averaging 88.9mph yet it showed top speed I went was 66.5mph and averaged 30.62mpg..

well as i figured would happen...unable to replicate issue....said there are no stored codes and everything showed up to date...I asked why it was not showing any recent trip data and they didn't know but being there is no codes nothing they could do about it..Told me next time the Uconnect needs service pops up come back.....I said I was there when it was showing a week ago and they refused to look at it without an appointment......they said there was a star case in the system for uconnect box issues but being mine was not showing any codes it did not pertain to mine.

I got this error message almost a week ago. I took it in on Monday. They said it needed a flash update. I picked it up the next day. While streaming music through CarPlay it’s like it loses connection for just a second then continues on. It does it whether it’s through wireless CarPlay or plugged in. This morning the message popped up again. I also noticed that my assist and SOS was lit up over my rear view mirror. I called the dealership I took it to twice today. They said they will call me back on Monday to schedule time to bring it in.

call connect services 800-777-3600 I finally decided to contact jeep care a few days ago and they had me call connect services and so far they have been super responsive..said that apparently it is a wide spread issue and they are trying to figure out if it is just 2024 and 2025's or other years as well. They have called me back 3X' with updates since I I called them on Wednesday.

Hi, @jadmt, How do access the trip log? I don’t see that in the mobile app for our 2025 Rubicon X. (And never saw it in the mobile app for 2018 JL Rubicon.)

I can otherwise access all other mobile features, e.g., remote start, current location, send-and-go, health report, etc.

Thanks.

Thanks for responding. We definitely don’t have that. I wonder if there is a setting somewhere.
