My uconnect 7” about a week ago started to quit/ bomb out of the full size maps.
It will sound an audible blip… flash the CarPlay icon and then It will default to the small map Or quit CarPlay all together.
no issues playing my music.
I’ve tried the button sequence reset… that works until I turn off my jeep. I’ve attached a video of the issue… anyone experience this and or have a solution?
iOS is current. Tried both usb ports. Tried Apple and aftermarket cables. ??‍♂

Try rebooting the phone itself. That often fixes weird issues like this.
Thank you for the response…
Yes, rebooting my iPhone along with rebooting the actual uconnect we’re the first things that I tried.

What I had not tried was cleaning out the actual iphone
Connection port.

i removed some lint and debris that had accumulated there.
ive driven around for a few hours and this seems to have fixed my issue.
I’ll post here if this actually was the problem.
thanks

So the problem popped up again.
this time a bit more aggressively. The CarPlay logo flashed and blips a lot more often now. I still suspect it may be the iPhone port.
I have to collect another iPhone and see if it happens with said iPhone. Hmm…

You can try pulling the fuses for the USB ports to see if that resets them. I forget which they are off the top of my head, but you can easily find them in the owner manual or online.

Not sure which ones they are for a 2020 but in my 2018 the USB fuses are F11 and F102 ( I have done this a few times on mine) and it was not because of issues like your having it was a power issue and I just pulled and checked the fuses, also you may want to pull the radio fuse F97 on mine.

The above fuses are for my 2018 so if nothing else look in the PDC cover to verify, I currently use a wireless CarPlay adapter and don’t have issues with Apple Maps but as we all know Uconnect is very buggy
