How does one update the maps for the built in navigation? Does it need to be done through the dealer, or can it be bought online, downloaded to USB and installed? Even better, updated over-the-air? My 2019 has the original maps (looks like 2018 date). They finally got around to changing the exit #s in Massachusetts, so hoping those have made it into the new version of the map update....

I've tried that website.... I just type in 2019 Jeep, and get this message, which is obviously not correct:

Same thing happens at that site when I check for a map update for my 2018 Grand Cherokee. However, when I check on an update for a 2019 GC it says there is one available. That place is messed up.

Anyway, I've heard that those map updates are already 1.5-2 years outdated when you get them. If you're hoping it will correct something that has been changed in the last year or so you may be disappointed. I've started using Android Auto if I need something with updated maps.

Ugh... Sadly this has been my experience as well. When will car manufacturers realize they are now software companies. Legacy automakers can't get out of their own way.
