Looking for a security cover for behind the back seat that works with the soft top down. All I see are flush with the top of the tub, yet in order to lock the soft top it has to go below the tub. looking to keep the back seat in and up.

This might not be as sleek as you want, or as large as you need, but in a previous vehicle, I bolted a locking toolbox onto the floor of the cargo area as an extra layer of protection/theft deterrent
Since the back of the 2-door is so small, and as you said those side wells become occupied by the retracted soft top, it might be an okay solution since you should be able to find something to fit

I never could find a good one. I've got a Backbone wrapped in blankets in the garage for 4 years. It's flush with the top and adding some padding, it's still going to eventually wear holes in the corners of a soft top.

Yeah I was looking for the exact same thing and pretty much the only economical option I found was the EZ trunk which somebody already linked. I leave the top down most of the year so it has been great to lock stuff up. It's not waterproof but it's secure.

I don't think it will work for OP, since the retracted soft top fills these spaces on each side, and reaches across the Jeep at this point.
Agree. I could be wrong, but I don't know of any security decks that allow for complete retraction of the soft top. I have mine on year-round while in safari mode and never put the top down. In this config, I can secure the body tub and still get the open air feeling. Side benefit is that I never have to worry about scorching my (balding) melon in the Southern Nevada sunshine!

I know exactly what you are talking about and have been on an endless pursuit since last year.
So there’s really no solutions that will allow the soft top when all the way back convertible style which allow the top to rest fully back/down and almost wedged into the side plastic pockets.

That said here’s the best setup I’ve found.

Tuffy makes a “Locking Lid” which doesn’t give much on the 392 but helps….

I then have a lockbox on the tailgate. Which isn’t perfect but cuts less than an inch of space from the top pushing down but is the soft part with no supports so can be worked around if needed.

Between the two of those lockboxes (plus the center console and glovebox - drop the manual and other useless junk and use it for actual storage) you can fit more than you would think.

I also got your standard mesh netting which goes across the back preventing anyone from easily pulling things out you are pretty secure.
I also have a 6’ bike lock that

Another solution…. Or really just a deterrent I guess is mounting a dashcam off the rear roll bar. Just go with one that has an annoying flashing red light so it’s super obvious!! Ha

I’m still in my winter Hardtop getup otherwise would post some actual pics but maybe I’ll motivate this weekend and swap to the soft top!?!

I also should throw out there that I saw DV8 updated their rear molle panels which I ordered which I believe should be compatible…. Half the motivation behind whether I remove the hardtop this weekend or not!

I have also been looking at some rear shelves but haven’t looked into compatibility too much as of yet.
