I have had good success with CTek for years. https://www.ctek.com/ Many recommendations for this brand, including Jay Leno. Battery conditioning has been a very nice bonus. These will work when it is -25F. There are faster and more powerful chargers with a boost feature. But for maintaining and de-sulfating to extend battery life, these work very well and come with a quick connector plug you can attach.

I have several of these BatteryMINDer 1500s and they are great for trickle charging and battery maintenance. I've used them for corvette winter storage, charging lawn mower and boat batteries, or I will plug it into my JL and pickup occasionally. They use smart technology as a 12V charger and maintainer. The automatic full-time desulfator keeps the batteries lasting longer. I have this hardwired to my Jeep battery but also have terminal clips. Output is 1.5A.

Cool I was just looking at that one. I guess the best idea is to just run a cord under the garage door and into the garage. It'll look a bit messy but probably be more dependable.
I use a Noco 10 & got tired of going under the hood to get to the battery, so I mounted this guy to my aftermarket inner fender liner... and used this to connect to the battery. I've been using this setup for a couple years... I plug in an extension cord & let it sit. Noco is mounted to the fender liner.

That's a nice setup. If this were a long term thing I'd think about doing something like that.

I recently purchased the Noco Genius 10 on sale at Amazon, but I haven't tried it out yet since I'm still waiting for my new vehicle to be built! What I liked is that a case and a cigarette lighter plug were also available.

Would the battery not still drain slowly over time that way?
Mine sits all winter with just the ground disconnected. Just be sure that the SS battery, if you have one, is also disconnected. NON ISSUE

PS be sure it's charged up when you dissconnect.

Good tip, thanks.

I'm going to trickle charge it for now that way I just know it'll always be ready to go if I need to drive it away.

It takes a few seconds to remove the negative cable, that's what I do. Reconnect is just as quick.
I did that and a week or so later got in the Jeep and the light was on. The little battery was still connected. So, it’s back on the trickle charger for the winter.

I’ve had really good luck with the Battery Tender Plus by Deltran. I have 3 of them; one for both Jeeps and another I use on my 2500HD GMC Denali with two batteries under the hood. They work great. They hook up with alligator clips or a stubby two piece harness that permanently connects with a plug. The unit charges, then maintains the battery it is attached to. They retail for $65 but can be found cheaper online if you look around.

@LARSONEM

Myself and other's on this forum, found out through months/years of use with a JL that a 1.25 battery tender maintainer just did not do the job well enough, in regard to the JL.

Don't think I am saying the Battery Tender Plus 1.25 offering is not a really decent battery tender/maintainer as it is. Read my way back/past posts on the forum and you will see I often talked of using a Battery Tender Plus on my 2018 JL.

I have been using the Deltran Battery Tender Plus, model, since Deltran started offering that model in 1991. Actually I was in Deland, Florida, in 1991.. at Deltran's offices.... and bought mine right from the guy (Mike, Sr.) that started Deltran. I even got him to give me a free Deltran t-shirt.. 8-) Mike Sr. died a few years back and his Son took his place. He's an aok guy and he has given me a few T's and some other swag over the years.

Anyway, in regard to the JL, I went from 1.25 amp output to a Noco 5 and even found the 5 amp output was not doing the deed well. Other's here found the same thing out.

Now, I use a Noco 10 for charging/maintaining..

Sure there way better maintainer chargers out there but they are pricier then the Noco 10 which I opted to go with, partly because of how much a Noco 10 costs..

Oh... I use a Battery Tender Plus 1.25 amp on my Harley FatBoy 01.

Whatever works for you; I’m not going back to search for your posts. I’ve had a couple of these chargers for many years now and used them on two JL’s without a problem. I store my 2022 Rubicon Unlimited in the winter and the 1.25 amp charger/maintainer has worked just fine for about 5-6 months of storage. The same model has worked fine on my 2019 diesel GMC Denali for the same 5-6 months and it’s attached to one battery that is tied to the second battery. I previously used that charger on my 2003 Chevrolet diesel also with two batteries attached to a single charger. I have a third charger that I put on my 2021 Willys for 2 months while I’m away down south during January and February. Again no problems. I will say that when you shut the vehicle off after an extended run (battery should be fully charged from the vehicle charging system) the red light on the charger will be on for maybe an hour or two, but eventually you will get a solid green light meaning it’s up to full charge. It’s only a 1.25 amp charger so it’s not fast, but it does work. Sorry you and a few others have had problems or didn’t like the charger, but mine have worked like a champ for me.

Yes, as I stated, that SS battery must be disconnected also. I eliminated mine on the Gladiator per the instruction on this site. Next to go is the SS itself.
