Actually, he did, first post .71,000 miles.
First post never initially stated the mileage......that’s why I asked. OP replied to my question in post #6 and subsequently edited post #1.

Update 2:
Just got off the phone with the service writer at Lake Norman Jeep in NC. He keeps saying it was something to do with the driveshaft failing. BULLSHIT, I had Adams 1310 driveshafts on front and rear and they don't just fail going down the highway with the cruise on at 70 mph. The insurance adjuster and service tech said in both writing and on voice message "it was an internal failure of the transfer case / transmission that caused hot oil to spray on the exhaust causing the fire" An "INTERNAL FAILURE OF THE TRANSFER CASE / TRANSMISSION" is the key words. It failed, so replace it or buy it back and I'll get a Gladiator. They don't even want to honor the warranty I purchased in March of this year when I purchased it off lease!!!! @Jeep Cares or @Jeep or @FMC needs to step in and do the right thing!
These pictures are from right after it happened and not great, it's hard for me to get down on the ground, especially with all of the oil around. As you can see part of one driveshaft is visible in the one picture. I have not seen the Jeep since then and pretty pissed the Dealership has not kept in touch or sent any pictures of the damage.

Was your front driveshaft detached for some reason? In the last picture it is not where it is supposed to be.

Why would this be covered? Extended warranties are near worthless. They ALWAYS win. Had you ever serviced the transmission or transfer case? Who installed those drive shafts? Did they use new yokes or do they bolt on in place of the old cv joints?

They claim it came apart and that's what caused it transfer case failure. The issue is it started revving up like the transfer case / transmission was slipping really bad and it was in 2wd and not 4wd so the front was not under load. They just serviced it two weeks before.

It was the not an extended warranty, it was a warranty offered when I bought it. The drive shafts were installed when the NEW front and rear axles were installed, Dana Ultimate 44 front and Rubicon 44 rear. Everything was new in I had it installed in late 2018 / early 2019. As stated, the Jeep dealer serviced it every 5000 to 7500 miles and was there two weeks before it failed.

forgetting the warranty, they are useless unless you stay bone stock. You “even” swapped the axle, no way in hell they will honor the warranty. You only got a fighting chance only if you are stock.

Not so if the dealer did the work, and the parts were bought there.

How much of a fluid mess did it leave under the Jeep?

I have a Jeep Gladiator 6MT that had a transmission failure driving down the road at 70 mph as well. Never hear of vehicles exploding like this until Jeep ownership. Best thing to do is get the info out. Jeeps are poorly built and designed by Italians. If their sales fall enough they will have to address this.

Designed by Italians??
Maybe the 2.0 yes, but....

The Aisin transmission isn’t Italian, it’s Japanese.
