Watched his video earlier, it was interesting to hear how much he liked the 392. And then how he fell out of love with it. A real honest review.
I was surprised that the locker sensor was the straw that broke the camel's back... I get that potting them is not for everyone but I found it pretty easy. The fuel starvation issue on downhill was new to me, does this happen to pedestrian Wranglers?

The fuel starvation is easily solved by carrying extra fuel for long off-road trips. The rear locker issue can happen to any 2.0 or 3.6 rubicon, as well. The transfer case failures is a real issue. I'll be changing the t-case fluid very often. Maybe every other motor oil change. It's an easy fluid change. Not sure if that will help prevent the common T-case failures, but it won't hurt.

I like watching his trips, but it is pretty obvious he isn't all that mechanically inclined. All Rubicons that are pre '24 have or will be affected by this. This includes all the ones he owns. My '18 went out, I used the Z-Automotive bypass to fix it as it was out of warranty. My buddy had his go out last fall when we were in Moab on his '22. It was still under warranty so Jeep fixed it.

The transfer case issue was caused by him. He was driving around with his trailer on dirt roads in FT. Of course he burnt the clutches. Driver error.

The fuel one is one that seems to be affecting the 392s, at least more have been reported with 392s than the other engine configurations. Not sure if it is because the fuel pickup is different in the 392s or because they use more fuel. Most have figured out to bring extra fuel though.

This guys has bought and sold more Jeeps than all my friends combined (and I belong to a Jeep club). I think he was being dramatic for clicks.

You just described most his videos. The guy has gone from seeming pretty genuine in the early videos to a complete tool.
I feel like that’s pretty much everyone who becomes YouTube famous. I mean hell, LiteBrite used to be fun to watch at one point in time. Then it just got flat out annoying.

He was leaving it in 4H auto for off-road? Does he mention that? If true, that would help explain how he killed his T-case. Surprised it lasted 30K if he drove it like that off road. But, I think the problem goes deeper. - There are several reports of otherwise competent 392 owners having multiple issues with the T-case. One issue is there were whole bunch delivered from the factory only partially filled with ATF-4. I checked ours the day we bought it. It was about three-quarters of a quart low! (It's only about a 2 quart capacity. It was just barely over half full!) Unbelievably bad QA/QC from Jeep! FWIW, the diffs were also a little low, but not as bad as the T-case.

I always quietly bet myself on how long he will keep a vehicle. Each one is the BEST, and each one goes away quickly. His wife quit work to do the channel, then just vanishes. Kids are in the videos, then gone. Marco was fun, then he goes away. Some new vehicle reviews, some off-road trips, some just talking. He is not big on responding to comments on his videos either, like many channels I watch. The Gladiator #2 was going to do one thing, now doing another. Have not seen the built silver JK in a long time. Very inconsistent content.

I am liking [Banned Site] more and more, he reminds me of a Jeep oriented Project Farm in terms of straight shooting. TSTW is cool, the videography is perfect, but the only first half of the trip filming on many seems incomplete..

I've never had a locker fail, never ran out of fuel or had something stall due to tank level, and live perfectly fine without a Goose Gear platform, fancy fridge, expensive battery setup, or a WAY overpriced trailer with a full kitchen but no toilet.

Guess I never got the memo or was too late to the forum, but why is [Banned Site] banned? I really like his content and he seems genuine. What am I missing?

I think the chief complaint is that at the end of the day it's still *just a Wrangler*, but it's an $85k Wrangler (more now) and to still carry the typical issues of the model is a hard pill to swallow.
An argument can be made that there's other manufacturers with issues on higher end models but the difference is the dealer and service experiences, those makes want to keep you coming back over and over for future purchases and they make an effort in retaining you as a customer.
Jeep? Well we're all aware of how that goes

It doesn't help that most dealers are inept and parts are always on backorder. It's amazing Stellantis can run a business this way. I guess the inflated prices make up for customers that abandon ship.

Yeah, I always read people complaining about him but when I watched a couple videos on YouTube I was like "wait, this is the same guy everyone hates?" 🤷‍♂️

YouTubers can make a lot of money, I get it. My favorite is Mat Armstrong, it's inspiring to watch him fix wrecked cars. Sometimes completely from scratch. Very authentic content and works with his Dad. He started in a parking lot 5 years ago and now he's reportedly making $20 million a year.
