Hi everyone,
Expecting some issues with the TPMS sensors on my 2018 JLU Unlimited. I replace the sotck rubicon wheels with the aftermarket ones 35 inch and get a strange failure when the readings on the right wheels are incorrect. Doesn't matter inflating or deflating the radings stays the same on the screen. Ok, i was thinking the sensors are faulty and went to buy a new ones. After replace with a new sensors nothing changed. Is there any antenna on the right side of the vehicle what is getting the signals from the wheels? May be there is some issue with this antenna? The from right wheel always show 1.2 bar, the rear right wheel 0.5 bar. It can move slightly on 0.1 bar even if there is 5 bars in the wheel or completelly flat.
Thanks for you thoughts.
P.S. the car is equiped with Tazer JL mini. May be Tazer can cause this kind of issues with the sensors, not sure.

@Rostman did you have the correct new sensors installed. There was a change made for newer JLs and it is possible you might have the newer sensors installed.

@Rostman there are a few things here.

1. What sensors did you buy? Link or part # etc would help so I can see first if you have the correct sensors installed. 21’s had the split year so that should not be the problem but you never know.
2. Also the first JL‘s had signal issues as soon as you lifted and went bigger it moved farther away from the antenna.. We had one so we know very well. We played with ours and used 6 different branded TPMS to get them to work. Bottom line the OE or Schrader 29093 was really the only sensor that would work “most” of the time picking up the signal. Bottom line the PSI would be accurate, but the light was always on because if it doesn’t get a reading every rotation it thinks the system has failed.
3.the problem with #2 once you lift and modify the dealer was useless (plus you are out of warranty anyways) They would not take the blame and fix the issue yet it was happening to many of us early JL owners. It wasn’t just a one off.
