My TPMS light went off the other day. I keep my tires around 34-36 psi. At least since I took the Jeep off the lot at 45 psi. Ive lost a pound or two over the last couple months which I will rectify soon. Right now I start up the Jeep and will show 30 psi on a cool morning and warm up to 33-34 psi.

The front left tire is red on the dash and shows the flat tire indicator light. It has the same pressure as the other four tires (they are always within a pound of each other). The dash says to re-inflate to 36 psi, which I plan to do... But why would only one TPMS sensor go off if all four tires are below the 36 psi threshold?

I would inflate to above 36 and see if it clears also you can have the sensors scanned at Discount Tire to see if they are at least sending out a signal

Thanks, thats what Ill do. Ive seen where some people's sensors have stopped reading and it shows a --- instead of an actual pressure. Mine continues to show the pressure, but also shows up red along with the flat tire light. Just kind of a weird set of circumstances.

You can also buy either a Tazer JL, Lite or Flashcal and turn the whole TPMS system off, if you are running after market wheels with a deep offset and a lift you can run into issues with sensors not talking as well.

I’m having the same exact problem that started this morning. All the tires are the same psi but only the driver side front tire is getting the red light. Did you ever find a solution?

If the pressure fell below 30 for even a brief minute or two it will trigger the TPMS alarm and highlight the tire that’s affected, it will also display the idiot light and have a message in the message center telling you to inflate to at least 37 lbs to clear, once you go to 37 just drive it above 20-30 mph for a few mins and it should clear

Thanks. It must’ve fell below 30 since it was around 31. I just pumped the tires back to 37 and it went away then dropped the psi back down a bit.

The factory setting for the alarm is 35 so when it gets below 30 it will alarm and once you inflated to 36+ it went away and as you did you can air down to your desired level but if it goes below it will alarm again, you can fix that with a Tazer or Flashcal, glad it all worked out
